In my practice, we take a customized approach to each patient’s breast reconstruction, taking into consideration the patient’s goals, desires and lifestyle.

This patient in her 50’s underwent bilateral ni**le sparing mastectomy after being diagnosed with breast cancer. She is very physically fitw with an active lifestyle and desired to keep similar size breasts in proportion to her body. After discussing her options for reconstruction, she decided to undergo implant breast reconstruction, using silicone gel breast implants similar in size to her pre-op breasts. She has been very happy with her results and ability to continue her active lifestyle after reconstruction!

This patient in her 60’s had previously undergone a right breast reduction and left breast lift by another surgeon. Unfortunately, during pathology examination of the tissue removed during the breast reduction surgery, breast cancer cells were found.

Although rare, there is an approximately 0.06-5% that breast cancer may be incidentally found in the tissue removed during breast reduction surgery. For this reason, it’s important to have a screening mammograms before breast reduction surgery.

Given these incidental findings of breast cancer, this patient underwent mastectomy and saw me in consultation for her breast reconstruction. She chose to undergo breast reconstruction with a prepectoral smooth silicone breast implant. We were able to preserve her ni**le during the ni**le sparing mastectomy and the patient went on to have an excellent result with good symmetry after her reconstruction was complete. She has been overwhelmingly happy with her result despite these unexpected findings from her breast reduction surgery!

This patient saw me in consultation for revision of a nasal reconstruction done at the time of a Mohs procedure 1.5 years prior. At the time of her procedure, a flap was created from her nasolabial fold to reconstruct a wound on her nose by her dermatologist. Unfortunately, this had left her with a bulky flap that obscured the nasal aesthetic subunits. We were able to help her in achieving her goals in making this flap less bulky and better contoured with definition of her alar crease. She has been very pleased with the improved appearance and contour following her revision reconstruction!

This patient in her 40’s initially underwent for diagnosis of breast cancer, but after deciding she wanted to avoid radiation, she later underwent bilateral mastectomy. After evaluating her options, she decided to undergo implant breast reconstruction with desire to improve upon the volume in her breasts. I am very happy that we were able to help her in achieving her goals of increasing her breast volume with smooth round silicone implants – she has been very happy with her result!

This wonderful patient in her 30’s was diagnosed with breast cancer and chose to undergo bilateral mastectomies. She desired reconstruction with a technique to tighten the skin envelope of her breasts and keep her ni**le if possible. We were able to help her achieve her goals by performing ni**le sparing mastectomy along with a incision approach to tighten the breast skin envelop and raise the position of the ni**les.. She decided to undergo implant breast reconstruction with smooth round silicone gel breast implants in the position and implant support with scaffold. We are very happy that we were able to help her achieve her goals with increased volume and youthful appearance of her reconstructed breasts!

This wonderful patient in her 60’s was unfortunately diagnosed with breast cancer in her right breast requiring lumpectomy. This fairly sizeable lumpectomy also required removal of skin overlying the area of breast cancer. In order to reconstruct both the deficit in breast volume and skin following this lumpectomy, a Lateral Thoracic Artery Perforator (LTAP) Flap from the side of the chest wall was used. This type of flap contains skin and fat tissue supplied by a small blood vessel keeping the flap alive. Volume Replacement Flaps after lumpectomy are not only useful to restore breast volume but also to reduce the risk of radiation induced breast changes at the lumpectomy site.

This patient in her 50’s was diagnosed with breast cancer and decided to undergo bilateral **lesparingmastectomy through incisions in the inframammary fold beneath her breasts. Her goals for reconstruction were to maintain or slightly increase her pre-op breast volume and she chose implant breast reconstruction. We were able to help her in achieving her goals with silicone gel breast implants placed on top of the muscle ( ). She has since been thrilled with the volume and result of her breast reconstruction!

This lovely patient in her 30’s with a strong family history of breast cancer and mutation decided to undergo bilateral prophylactic skin sparing mastectomies to reduce her risk of developing . In order to achieve her goal of having slightly smaller size breasts with a more lifted appearance, we performed her mastectomies and reconstruction via incisions. These incisions are commonly used in breast reduction or breast lift surgeries and can result in a more aesthetically pleasing result in breast reconstruction. She chose to undergo reconstruction with smooth round silicone gel breast implants in the (above the muscle) position.
