“We do life together” Jenny said during our interview with WANE 15
Hey mamas, Melissa here 💕
I could not agree more. -We do life together- is what Jenny Hernandez said and what stood out the most to me! We most definitely talk about our children but we also help navigate one another through all our life wins and losses.
For example- 1. During our time together I had to make the very difficult decision to close our business doors for a short time. I struggled day and night on how to navigate and process that decision. These women were there for me every step of the way. Countless conversations, text, and phone calls. Without thought, they were all right there guiding me. We come from all walks of life and Getting advice from them was crucial! Some are business owners themselves and others consumers. I was able to get the advice and guidance from both sides. Then the opportunity came for us to purchase the property that our business called home since 1962. AND where Mondays 4 Mamas started. These mamas were right there for the excitement and that huge win for us. They got to witness the overwhelming joy and accomplishment and I am so thankful for that.
2. The time I was finally able to go through my son’s things. I text and called them probably 100 times that day. Each mom could share how and when they did the same. The ones that had not been able to yet, got all the advice, and were able to witness my time doing it. I could not have finished it had I not been able to text and call them for my many many breakdowns! BUT! they helped me, walked me through it, and I was able to complete what felt like the most impossible task.
Those are just a couple examples of several life changing moments between us and we get to do them all together!!! Each week we can not wait until our Monday comes so we can share everything that has happened leading up to our meet-up 💕
Yes, we help navigate the loss of our children. We listen and we talk. We are able to share ways we got through something a newer mom is currently going through. To see other moms, and know they have went through the same exact thing you are, and to witness they made it through it. It gives you just enough hope to fight through one more day. -If they can do it, so can I!-
If you are a mom who is experiencing the loss of a child, I truly believe you will walk away from our meet-up thankful that you came. We are not just moms who lost children, we are family! The bond we create is so natural, strong, and life lasting.
