’s first ever Miami retreat was something extremely special. We had 3 days of adventure packed with lots of tropical fruit, a visit to , medical classes, a finance class, adapted hiking, bonfires, a murder mystery dinner theater night, a game night, and lots more! If you missed this one, you won’t want to miss the next!

PossAbility's first ever Miami retreat was one for the books! We had 6 individuals attend with spinal cord injuries and 13 volunteers attend for 3 days of adventure, education, community, and FUN! We stayed at Camp Owaissa Bauer, went to Fruit & Spice Park, ate yummy tropical fruit from Robert is Here, had medical classes about spinal cord issues, had a class on finance, went for an adapted hike, had two bonfires, had a murder mystery dinner theater night, had a game night, and just really enjoyed our time together!

Events like this do not happen without a lot of financial support, and this retreat was no exception. We are grateful for our sponsors:

PossAbility has two campers who desperately want to come to retreat in Miami but currently cannot afford the flights. One just lost his best friend who unexpectedly passed away and has spent a lot of unplanned time in the hospital this year; the other suffers with excruciating pain daily and could use support from others who can relate. Plane tickets are $600 each. Donations can be made directly to PossAbility (tax-deductible) OR you can donate airline miles and I can connect you with them to do that. We would be grateful for the support!!

Our trip to Miami to prep for our February retreat was amazing. We left our houses at 4 am and arrived in Miami at noon. Went to Camp Owaissa Bauer, , and a Mexican restaurant (where the music was so loud we could only see our lips moving 🤣🤣). Next day we looked for manatees with , went to , had a group meetup at , and then went to put on by . We saw lots of friends and checked out everything for retreat so we’d be ready. If you think this looks like fun, come join us for our February 12-15 retreat!!
