💜 Thank You, Louise Fiano 💜

We want to take a moment to thank Louise Fiano, who retired from the board of Talitha Koum Women’s Recovery House at the end of 2025.

Since the beginning of TK House, Louise has been our go-to financial brain and steady voice. Serving as our volunteer board treasurer since 2018, she generously gave her time, knowledge, and expertise and helped guide the organization from its earliest days. Her behind-the-scenes work made a real difference and played a big role in helping TK House grow into what it is today.

We are incredibly grateful for the years she poured into TK House and the countless ways she helped us stay strong and moving forward.

Thank you, Louise, for everything you have done over the last eight years. Your impact will always be part of TK House 💜

As we step into 2026, we’ve been reflecting on what 2025 meant for TK. One thing we are overdue in acknowledging is the transition of our incredible House Manager, Kara, toward the end of last year. This post is a moment to pause, reflect, and express our deep gratitude for the way she served this house and the women within it.

💜 Thank You, Kara 💜

Today we want to take a moment to honor and thank Kara Cole for her SEVEN years of unwavering dedication as House Manager at the TK Women’s House.

Kara poured her blood, sweat, and tears into this home and into the lives of the women who walked through its doors. She led with compassion, accountability, and authenticity. She shared not only her leadership, but her experience, strength, hope, and her own sobriety. Because of her, countless women found stability, support, and the belief that lasting recovery IS possible.

Seven years is no small thing. It represents late nights, hard conversations, deep care, and a commitment that went far beyond a job. Kara has left an indelible mark on this house and on the hearts of so many women whose lives are forever changed because she showed up every single day.

We are incredibly grateful for all you have given, Kara, and while it’s bittersweet to see you step into your next chapter, we wish you nothing but continued growth, joy, and success in all that lies ahead.

Thank you for everything.
You will always be part of the TK family. 💜

We hope you enjoy this look back at all the lives you touched Kara! In no particular order!

Dear Friends and Supporters,

As we close out 2025, our hearts are full. This year has been a testament to the power of community and the resilience of the women we serve. Because of your unwavering support, we continue to provide a safe haven for those navigating their journey toward recovery.

Highlights from a Remarkable Year:

A Sold Out Celebration: Our 2nd Annual Cake Auction at Park Chapel Christian Church was a resounding success! With over 240+ guests in attendance, we celebrated the courage of recent graduates Megan Windsor and Rachel Young as they shared their inspiring journeys.

Honoring a Legacy: We took a moment to honor Sandy Miller, a longtime board member, for her years of dedicated service as she prepares for winters spent in the warmth.

The Power of Your Support: Many women arrive at Talitha Koum with nothing but the clothes on their backs. For many, this is their first sober holiday season away from traditional support systems. Your contributions help them heal their "inner little girl" and find their footing in a new, healthy life.

Thank you for being the foundation of this mission. Whether you donated a cake, sponsored an event, or gave a financial gift, you are helping women truly "Rise Up."

Wishing You a Joyous 2026,
The Talitha Koum Team
