Mental Health America has joined NAMI and 10 other leading mental health and substance use organizations in issuing a joint statement following the announcement of widespread staffing cuts at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

These cuts put critical programs at SAMHSA, CDC, and NIH at risk — including those addressing su***de prevention, substance use, overdose, and behavioral health services.
