THE FOOD PYRAMID JUST GOT A MAJOR UPGRADE 🥗
The newly proposed food pyramid finally emphasizes what longevity research has shown for decades:
🥬 Vegetables take center stage (not grains)
🥩 Proteins - quality meats, legumes, beans, lentils
🥑 Healthy fats - nuts, seeds, avocados, fatty fish, olive oil
🌾 Whole, unprocessed foods as the foundation
This aligns with eating patterns that actually have clinical evidence:
✅ Mediterranean diet → proven to reduce heart disease, extend healthspan
✅ Hunter-gatherer diets → what our bodies evolved to thrive on
✅ Ancestral eating → traditional diets that protected against chronic disease
The Hard Truth:
For decades, we were told to build our diets on grains and limit fats.
Meanwhile? Obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and metabolic syndrome rates skyrocketed.
Many of us believed the old pyramid. Our doctors recommended it. Schools taught it. It became “common sense.”
