We talk a lot about support in motherhood
and yes—support matters deeply

But here’s what often gets missed…

You can have the partner
the village
the doula
the classes
the preparation

…and still struggle

I’ve sat with moms who did everything “right”
and still found themselves navigating postpartum anxiety, depression, or OCD

Not because they failed
Not because something is wrong with them

But because maternal mental health is not prevented by support alone

That’s why Maternal Mental Health Day matters 🤍

Because this conversation has to include *everyone*
Not just the moms who are visibly struggling
Not just the ones without support

All moms

If you’re feeling this right now—
confused, overwhelmed, or questioning why it’s hard despite having “everything”

You’re not alone in that experience

Support and struggle can coexist
And you deserve care that holds both

Saving and sharing resources today because you don’t have to navigate this alone 🤍

If no one told you intrusive thoughts can happen postpartum, this is for you.

Many moms feel ashamed, scared, or confused by the thoughts that can show up after birth. They often keep it secret because they fear judgment.

But thoughts are not intentions. Thoughts are not identity. Thoughts are not predictions.

Postpartum OCD and postpartum anxiety are treatable, and support matters.

You deserve care too. 💛

Anxiety gets treated like the villain so often that many people start believing the feeling itself means something is wrong. But anxiety is a normal human emotion. It often shows up when something matters, when life feels uncertain, or when you’re stepping into growth.

For those with OCD or chronic anxiety, the brain may say: “If I feel anxious, there must be a problem.” That’s where the cycle can deepen through checking, overthinking, avoiding, or seeking reassurance.

But feelings are not facts. Sometimes anxiety is information, and sometimes it’s a false alarm. The work is learning to pause, tolerate uncertainty, and respond intentionally.

You do not need to eliminate anxiety to move forward. Sometimes healing looks like feeling anxiety and still choosing what matters most.

I offer bilingual virtual therapy across Texas for OCD, anxiety, and postpartum mental health.

Fort Worth Birth Provider Meet Ups will be back in Fall 2026 🍂

This year, we gathered 6 times and built something meaningful together.

We hosted casual networking meetups, had real conversations about marketing, exchanged books, talked endometriosis and explored new coworking spaces.

Most importantly, we connected with 50+ unique birth providers across our community.

Grateful for everyone who showed up, shared space, and helped make this year what it was. Looking forward to continuing to grow and support one another next season. 🤍

🚨 New Blog for Clinicians 🚨

Not all OCD treatment is created equal and understanding the differences matters.

If you’re a therapist wanting a deeper, more nuanced understanding of how to treat OCD, this post breaks down key approaches like ERP, I-CBT, and ACT in a way that’s practical, clear, and grounded in real clinical work.

Because treating OCD isn’t about reducing anxiety, it’s about changing the relationship clients have with uncertainty, thoughts, and discomfort.

🚨 New Blog Post 🚨

Not all therapy for OCD is the same.

OCD isn’t just about “being anxious.” It’s intrusive thoughts, doubt, discomfort, and the urge to do something—anything—to feel relief. And while those compulsions might help in the moment, they often keep the cycle going.

That’s why the type of therapy matters.

In my newest blog, What Is the Right Treatment for OCD? Understanding ERP, I-CBT, and ACT, I break down approaches that are actually designed for OCD, so you can better understand what effective treatment can look like.

If you’ve ever felt stuck in the cycle, this is for you. 🤍
