UNT Health alumnus Dr. Lawrence Wilner brings more than 30 years of experience in family medicine to our clinical practice group. Congratulations to Dr. Abe Clark for receiving UNT Health's 2026 Faculty Achievement Award for Outstanding Research!

A Regents Professor of Pharmacology and Neuroscience and a FARVO professor in the North Texas Eye Research Institute, Dr. Clark has built an extraordinary research career focused on advancing the understanding and treatment of glaucoma and other vision-threatening diseases. His work has helped pave the way for innovative therapies and improved patient outcomes.

With more than 240 peer-reviewed publications, 80 patents, and sustained research funding, his contributions have had a lasting global impact on vision science.

This well-deserved recognition celebrates Dr. Clark’s exceptional dedication to research and discovery.
