What have I been doing with my free time? Sleeping.
Between mothering, my part-time job, tending to the home, and pouring life into Mama Virgo, rest has become one of my most sacred commitments. Sleep isn’t a luxury for me right now—it’s a lifeline. It restores my mind, smooths out my nerves, steadies my Spirit, and keeps my body from collapsing under the weight of everything I’m holding.
This pregnancy hasn’t been the easiest to accept or to journey through, so at first I felt guilty. I thought resting meant I was avoiding presence. But Spirit made it clear: this rest is preparation. This rest is medicine. This rest is aligning me for what’s coming. And once I felt that truth, I embraced it without apology.
Science even backs this up:
• Deep sleep helps regulate stress hormones, reducing overwhelm and stabilizing mood.
• The body repairs tissue, strengthens the immune system, and balances energy during uninterrupted sleep.
So yes… if I’m quiet, I’m probably surrendering to the softness of sleep. And it’s healing me in more ways than one.
