On April 6, 2026, Wayside Vice-President of Government Relations & External Affairs, Aaliyah Bannister-Batie, attended the The New England Council Legislative Breakfast held at the Seaport Hotel in Boston. Governor Maura Healey addressed the group, highlighting her administration's efforts to retain educated talent with Massachusetts by piloting a workforce development program entitled Tech-Generation. This program is designed to support young talent along with emphasizing the importance of efforts made toward energy affordability, innovation and infrastructure.

Wayside Framingham Family Resource Center's Program Director, Rosalind Baker, and Educational Liaison, Tamires Cacheto, were proud to attend MIRA: Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition, Inc. Immigrant's Day at the State House. They joined over 1,000 participants for an empowering day of advocating for policies that reflect the needs of the immigrant community.

Wayside staff were proud to attend Jane Doe Inc. LEAD Advocacy Day 2026.
Staff spent the day advocating for legislative priorities being advanced by Wayside and JDI by sharing program information and Clothesline Project T-shirts. They also spoke with the offices of Representative Brian Murray, Senator Rebecca Rausch, and Senator Robyn Kennedy, to discuss how supporting these priorities would strengthen safety, stability, and access to resources for the families we serve.
