January 22nd is Kentucky Arts Day, a yearly statewide gathering of arts workers & lovers reminding legislators of the power of the arts in Kentucky’s communities, schools, and economy.

Did you know that Flashback Theater Co. is generously supported by The Kentucky Arts Council with state tax dollars and federal funding from the National Endowment for the Arts? Our work would not be possible without generous donations from public arts funding.

Board and staff members from Flashback will be attending Kentucky Arts Day on January 22nd to meet with our legislators and inform them about the impact these funds make on our community.

We are accepting applications for our upcoming national Peer Connect cohort, Youth MOVE National's youth peer support program! This Youth Peer Support (YPS) certification training will be offered virtually & at no cost to participants through Youth MOVE National's Peer Center funding!

Upcoming Cohort Dates:
January 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st, and February 7th
All sessions will be from 11am - 6pm ET / 10am - 5pm CT / 9am - 4pm MT / 8am-3pm PT
And folks are required to attend all training sessions to receive certification

This foundational training provides peer-to-peer learning and networking opportunities for those interested in, or already a part of, the Youth Peer Support workforce.

Our hearts are heavy this evening, following the tragic shooting event that occurred in our Frankfort community this afternoon at Kentucky State University. Our deepest condolences, thoughts, and support go out to the victims, their families, and everyone in our community who has been affected by this senseless act of violence.

We know that incidents of this nature can trigger many feelings – shock, anger, sadness, fear, anger, and anxiety. We recognize and respect the significant impact of such events on individual and community mental health, and we want you to know you are not alone; resources are available for anyone needing support.

💚To the first responders – thank you for your swift action and bravery.
💚To the KSU students, faculty, and staff – you are in our hearts tonight and in the days to come.
