My year in review is short-but-sweet because my daughter Lilah was born in June! I enjoyed supporting my clients while I was carrying my daughter, and now that she's over 6 months old,😭 I'm excited to support my clients in 2026!

This year in review includes two births where I assisted local midwives, which is always a fun and special experience! I also had my first repeat client and another repeat client book for next year! There were many joys this year, as well as its fair share of grief and tears. God is faithful through it all!

Thank you Lord for blessing this work, may I be your hands and feet serving families in the next year! 🙏🏼💗

Ok hear me out... I challenge all my clients to find providers that fit what they are wanting for the birth of their baby, for this exact reason. You may love your provider personally (you should this is important) BUT if what they are telling you about how they prefer their patients to deliver does not match what you are hoping for, your provider will most likely not bend to your birth plan just because they are nice during appointments. Does this inherently make them a bad provider? No. It just means that they have their "comfort box" and they probably won't leave it.

It does mean though that they may not be the best provider for the birth you are planning. Weighing the potential long term disappointment about your birth against the temporary discomfort of finding a new provider who is supportive and knowledgeable about the birth you are planning, may end up being well worth it in the end.
