Sometime of you're on injections for humira they can stop working when this happens your doctor will work to find a solution typically switching medications from injections to infusions. Another thing people with crohns have trouble getting enough nutrients specifically has trouble absorbing Vitamin Bs. It's important to find what works for you without it hurting you.

If your on immune suppressants like most with this disease. You'll know that certain things shouldn't wait. Then again maybe you don't. I got into a serious situation Saturday as I had been having a cough for a while but thought it was a chest cold until I passed out. Went to ER found out I have Covid Pneumonia amd needed to go on antiviral and steroid to help with the cough as it's what caused me to pass out. I'm doing a bit better however I'm still having some coughing issues and feels like an elephant sitting on my chest.

If you are on antibiotics or any medication make sure to check to see if any Overcounter Medications can react with it. I discovered the antibiotics I'm on react to 161 medications including Ibuprofen, Excedrin, and Midol. These 3 meds I take for some aches and pains. It does not react to Tylenol. Now it only causes certain sie affects to become worse but I did nearly or did pass out bc I didn't know this. It also reacts with cold medications which is just lovely when you start having a chest cold except it could also be a side affect. Also always look at the side affects the one I'm on has like 20 different ones and these can easily also be a cold or flu symptoms or worse.It all depends. Also always speak with your Dr if you can to confirm unfortunately I'm in some circumstances that I can't right now.

Crohn's is no fun one common thing is being more susceptible to infections. I just got over a double ear infection, sinus infection and UTI 3 weeks ago however being on so many antibiotics can cause C Diff. In someone like me with crohns and other IBDs as well. Its said to be highly contagious and the only treatment is a stronger antibiotic and in rare cases surgery or transplants.

If you think something is wrong definitely go to Dr's. Now on antibiotics for a Sinus Infection bc it got worse as I orginally thought it was allergies.

Things that people with chronic illnesses don't seem to understand. It is NOT the same kind of tired. We have to take medications a lot of medications or we won't even be able to do basic tasks and get severly sick. We don't always look sick a lot of chronic illnesses are invisible. Trying your suggestion can hurt us worse. You can't typically "cure" chronic illness and if someone is claiming they know someone who did either A.They where faking or B. They're trying to scam you. Also don't fall for the "This Dr cured..." on my posts I do not support them and they're "natural remedies" can actually hurt me more 🙃 (upside down smiley face) I try to delete those comments when I see them then block the profiles doing it.

Gluten Free French Toast for Breakfast (NOT MADE IN GF HOUSE HOLD) bc of crohns disease I can't eat whole wheat flour and try to get GF when I can bc I've been told it's better for someone with my condition. While certain things are fine along with cross contamination with Crohn's for other people it may not be. Make sure if someone who is completely GF comes over you use seasonings pans and even a different cooking station that hasn't had gluten bc others may be more sensitive and can't have thar Crohns and Celiac are DIFFERENT conditions. If someone gets GF bread but is drinking or eating something else that may not be GF know their ARE other conditions that have this dietary restriction❣️ ☮️

Being sick and haveing an autoimmune disease sucks. Before I was dignosed I'd get sick a lot but never felt as bad as I do now that I'm on immune suppressants just so my immune system doesn't attack my own body instead 😅

Crohns Disease can cause a TON of dietary restrictions including some that may not make sense to most people. One of the major ones most with crohns have is whole wheat specifically. Most of us can still eat gluten HOWEVER we can't digest wheat unless the bran and germ have been removed which makes it bleached or even white flours. Because of this we do eat gluten free products especially when we can't find one that has white or bleached flours. A good example is the Gluten Free Dinosaur Chicken Nuggets I just ate. Some of us also can't eat or drink high fructose corn syrup. I found a ketchup that is high fructose corn syrup free to go with them as well; it does use cane sugar instead so if you're completely sugar free their are products out there it can just take a while to find them if you're not sure where to look.

Remember! Halloween is coming up and not everyone can eat candy or a food related Substitute (Dairy, Wheat, Gluten, Nuts ect) ALWAYS have something else so kids don't feel left out. I've seen people hand out small plastic toys, stickers, and they even have pokemon card ones now! Make sure their also in a separate bowl if you do both away from the candy as of something comes open and their's a extremely severe allergy it doesn't get triggered for that person! Have a Safe and Happy Halloween 🎃
