Hey students!
Happy Friday 😊
You may relate to me…🤷🏼♀️
Let me know. I’m failing at this miserably for many years BTW. My veggies go slimy nasty in my fridge before I get to them.
I have struggled with eating the right amount of fresh vegetables and fruit every week. I’m growing a garden now, thanks to my husband, which does help.
But
I struggle with my refrigerator items not going bad before we actually eat them. I mean COME ON. Who will eat/cook slimy and moldy cauliflower for themselves or their loved ones?!!
Nutrition is important to
Dr Missy Medical School students I know. Sorry what can I do to improve?
Here’s a picture I found on the internet recently. I will try this method starting today for organizing my vegetable bin in our refrigerator.
I do not refrigerate some fruits/vegetables. Mostly I want to ponder vegetables.
Like tomatoes(yes it’s a fruit they say), peppers (bell, jalapeños,etc), onions, potatoes, and garlic. This does not relate to that.
Here’s my wacky plan🤷🏼♀️
I will be faithful to this plan for exactly ONE month before I bail/give up.
I am going to:
1. Remove all store bought vegetables from their plastic wraps
2. Trim everything “brown” back to fresh.
3. Then I think it’s important to remove pests and pesticides from produce that I didn’t grow, with a filtered water bath plus about 1/2cup of any kind of vinegar (not balsamic) [but I like cheap distilled vinegar].
4. I will see all that we have. The celery and carrots will be washed like this and stored in the back in a filtered(preferred) water bath.
Wish me luck.
Please let me know what you do.
Am I not to be concerned about throwing fresh but spoiled veggies into the trash regularly?
I feel stupid.
Enjoy your weekend
You have been so kind to me from all around the world.
Thank you
I Remain So Grateful!!
