7-OH, which comes from kratom, is an addictive opioid that is sold in certain gas stations and shops across Western North Carolina. The FDA has not yet listed it as a restricted substance, however some places, like Florida, have already banned it. Further, it is illegal to market it as it has no approved uses and has not been proven to be safe to consume.
