The National Institute for Drug Abuse (NIDA) studies how to best help people recover. NIDA says engagement doesn't equal endorsement, i.e. talking about loving someone who uses drugs or did use drugs does not mean agreeing with using drugs. Hazelwood Health agrees; we love people who use drugs and help them become people we love who did use drugs. Notice how the love stays the same? That's the key!
