At Ground Floor Yoga, we believe that being an inspired teacher is all about being a dedicated student. Earlier this year, .sadhana spent an incredible week in Barcelona immersed in a Jivamukti Teacher Upgrade Course, diving into yoga philosophy, class sequencing, teaching skills, and hands-on assists.

Though that moment has passed, the wisdom she brought back is something we carry forward - especially during the busy holiday season. It’s a perfect reminder to pause, ground ourselves, and return to the heart of our practice.

So as we move through the holidays, we stay steady & joyful, inspired by the knowledge and dedication Katherine brings to the studio. We invite you to join us, take a breath, and find your own moment of yoga. 🩵

Just one class this Friday: Liberation Sensation XL 9:30-11am with .sadhana 💥❤️‍🔥

If you’ve ever taken class with me (Katherine) you probably heard me refer with loving reverence to my teachers. All of my teachers have been taught and profoundly inspired by Sharon Gannon.

July 4 is Sharonji’s birthday & her visionary life’s work has been to promote liberation and wellbeing for all beings through the Jivamukti Yoga method. Jivamukti Yoga combines a powerful asana practice with meditation, chanting, spiritual wisdom, devotion, and a lifestyle marked by compassion for all beings, including animals and the Earth. It offers a framework for spiritual activation amidst a world where it can be overwhelming to dare to care: liberation from debilitating negative emotions such as apathy, anger and fear.

I’m excited to share my heart and beloved lineage this Friday with a special Jivamukti practice. All levels welcome & no experience needed.

Join master instructor, FRC Mobility Specialist and all-around movement maven Nicki Silverman as she guides a 75 minute flow with a focus on hip, shoulder and spine mobility. This all-levels vinyasa yoga experience will offer familiarity on the mat while guiding you through intentionally unique transitions and new ways to think about your own movement patterns. Learn what the buzz word “mobility” really means, move & breathe to land it in your body, and walk away feeling refreshed, open, and smarter about how to move better. 

About Nicki ✨

Nicki Silverman has been teaching movement for over 12 years. She has 1000+ hours of yoga trainings from 3 different schools, as well as continuing education with handstand coaches, Ashtanga 1st + 2nd series and creative vinyasa mentors. 
She is certified in the world-renown Functional Range Conditioning system and does continuing education with a lead FRC instructor, shadows physical therapists, and has obtained her personal training certification. A continually expanding knowledge-base combined with her own diverse training background makes her a powerhouse coach, offering a breadth of information in fun, accessible ways.
Nicki has been weaving mobility concepts into her yoga classes since 2017, creating pathways for students to learn more about their own patterns, how to increase the quality and fluidity of their movement, and how to lay the groundwork for a sustainable practice.

Bring your baby (ages 0–12 months) and enjoy a special time to connect—not just with your little one, but with other new moms, too. Motherhood can feel isolating at times, and this class is here to offer support through all the ups, downs, and everything in between.
