Melissa began practicing yoga over a decade ago. Yoga’s ability to heal became abundantly clear to Melissa after years of living with the painful effects of multiple sports related injuries. She found yoga to be the only therapy to give her true physical and mental relief. It became obvious her path was to share this message with the world. She became a full-time Bikram teacher in 2009. Since her Bikram Yoga training she has continued her education, getting certified in Restorative Yoga, Synergy Partner Yoga, Kids Yoga and Pre/Postnatal Yoga. Off the Mat Melissa strives to blend yoga principals into all aspects of her life. Melissa founded Let’s Balance Your Body a health and wellness brand that is dedicated to spreading the message of inspiration and wellness through social media, yoga events, transformational workshops and retreats. She has a true zest for life and is always seeking new ways to incorporate alternative approaches into her practice and teaching.

What makes life so precious…
is the quiet knowing that nothing is forever. 🌱

When you really feel that — not just think it —
everything softens… and sharpens at the same time.

The hard seasons.
The messy middle.
The moments you wish would pass faster…
and the ones you wish you could hold onto a little longer.

Winter was a challenge.
A leak that turned everything upside down.
The holidays — beautiful, chaotic, full as ever.
So much sickness.
Construction.
Very little stillness… very little pause.

And yet…

There was resilience.
There was love woven through the chaos.
There were moments — small, quiet, easy to miss —
that still mattered.

And that’s the thing…

✨ Nothing is forever.
Not the hard.
Not the heavy.
Not even the beautiful.

And that’s exactly what makes it all so precious.

So as we step into spring… 🌸
a season of renewal, rebirth, and possibility and ALWAYS remember nature is there to help you through it!

I find myself asking:

Will you soften?
Will you open?
Will you be the shift…
the change…
you wish to see in the world?

Because this moment — right here —
isn’t forever.

May the road rise to meet you,may the wind be always at your back,may the sun shine warm upon your face…

and may you feel supported, guided, and grounded wherever you are right now.

This one always hits a little deeper for me — it reminds me of my roots and my grandpa Joe - a proud Irish man’s 🇮🇪, and the simple, steady way life used to be lived… connected, grounded, and full of meaning.

In a world that moves fast, pulls us in every direction, and asks us to do more… this feels like a gentle reminder to slow down, breathe, and trust the path you’re on.

Today isn’t just about celebrating women…

If only they could change all the way back to the 99’s when life was great.

When Friends was on Thursday nights 📺we waited for the next episode of S*x and the City 👠Britney and the Spice Girls were everywhere 🎤and nobody knew what social media anxiety was yet 📱

We burned CDs for road trips 💿🚗printed MapQuest directions 🗺️and actually talked to each other at dinner 🍝

Life somehow felt a little simpler… a little slower.

Maybe we can’t turn the clocks back that far…but we can take the hint.

Slow down.Step outside 🌞Call a friend ☎️Turn the music up 🎶Laugh a little more.

Sometimes the real reset is simpler than we think. 🙌✨

🥬 Have you had a green juice or some real vegetables today?
💧 Are you hydrated?
💪 Are you eating enough protein to support your body?
😴 Did you get good sleep?
🚶‍♀️ ☀️Have you stepped outside and moved your body?

Before we chase the complicated solutions…let’s come back to the basics.
