Your birth plan can change, but you can still have an empowering birth 💖
This mama rocked her unexpected induction. 💖 I’m so proud of her courage and strength.
I feel so honored to have been by these mamas for a second time as they brought their baby boy into the world this past Wednesday 💓

I encourage all moms to catch their own baby.⁣

It grounds you in your body and in the moment during that last final “push” of your labor. ⁣
It decreases stress and anxiety, and connects you with your baby.⁣

I am here for you if you want more support catching your little one, but i am also happy to step back as your baby is received into the hands of the one who loves them most. 💖

Doula on call! 🫶

What does being on call mean?

It means from 37-42 weeks I have made myself available to be at your birth. 7 days a week, 24 hours a day I’m ready to drop everything to be by your side.
My phone is on loud, my doula bag is packed and my car has a full tank of gas.
I plan to stay close to home, I won’t drink any alcohol and my childcare plans are sorted.
I ensure I have everything in place so I can be your side and give you the support you need. 💖

It’s rainbow baby day 🌈 I feel you & see you mamas 💖

When you’re in the midst of one of the hardest days of your life, it doesn’t feel like you’ll ever get there. That it’ll never get better. That you’ll always think about the life you had, the life you lost. Once you lose a baby, you always walk around with just a little bit of sadness. Imagining what they would have looked like, the person they could have been, how they would have fit with your family. I feel like after a loss
- that next pregnancy you just hold your breath the entire time, until your baby is in your arms and you finally breathe.

But then at the end of the day, you wouldn’t have the baby you have now. Grieving the baby you lost, but the immense and beautiful joy of the sweet rainbow baby that came after.

To the mamas waiting for your rainbow baby: I see you, and I am happy to pray for + with you for your rainbow baby- and I am so excited to see your announcement.
To the mamas with their rainbow baby: I celebrate your rainbow baby’s life with so much joy, and also feel deeply with you as you remember your baby in heaven.

Just a reminder because I know someone needs to hear it:

You don’t have to feed your baby at the breast to celebrate World Breastfeeding Week.

If you’ve ever sat tethered to a pump while the rest of the world kept moving.
If you’ve poured breastmilk into bottles or syringes or feeding tubes.
If you’ve cried over spilled milk, tracked every ounce, or twashed pump parts at 2 a.m
You’re doing it.

You are breastfeeding.

Even if your baby never latched.
Even if every drop of milk went through a bottle, a tube, or a spoon.
Even if it didn’t look the way you thought it would.

Your body worked. Your effort mattered. Your love shows up in every single feed.

This week and every week you deserve to be seen and celebrated too.

Let’s make space for all the ways we show up for our babies.

Happy World Breastfeeding Week 🤍

Now that I’m 4 weeks postpartum, it’s time to share my experience with the 5-5-5 rule that I recommend to all my clients.

•Way less bleeding - bleeding was gone by week 3.
•Way less soreness
•Able to soak in all the lasts with my newborn
•Mental health is so much better this time around - however parts have been super hard & a lot of battles have been thrown at me
•Not as many baby blues

My recovery was a heck of a lot easier this time around. I learned to just let things go and not care this time. The dishes can wait, the laundry can wait, vacuuming can wait, phone calls/texts can wait. Take this time to focus on you, your healing, and your mental well being. & last but not least, hire the postpartum doula. 💖

This is birth. This is love. This is home.

Birth support can look like so many things. It may be your doula friend flying in just hours after your waters break. It may be your trusted midwife stepping into a different role—for you. It may be your spouse, your partner, your neighbors, your friends, your children, or even a photographer you met at a birth two years ago 😁😍

But one thing is always true:
✨ It looks like unwavering presence.
✨ It feels like trust, love, and sacred space.
✨ It sounds like intuition being honored.

This birth space was raw, reverent, and powerful.
No judgment. No fear. Just a family surrendering to the process—together.
This is your birth. Your power. Your story.
And I am so honored to help tell it.

Postpartum isn’t just “a new baby.”

It’s your whole body aching in ways no one warned you about.
It’s pain in places you didn’t even know could hurt.
It’s emotions you’ve never dealt with before
overwhelming love, fear, anxiety, guilt… all at once.

It’s trying to heal while being needed every second.
It’s crying for no reason, and sometimes for every reason.
It’s looking in the mirror and not recognizing yourself.

It’s beautiful, yes
but it’s also brutal.

And you deserve just as much care as the baby you brought into the world.
