COMING SOON...The new Walk-In Crisis Care Center located at 340 Montevue Lane will open Thursday, October 26th at 10:00 am. The new center will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Until then, Walk-In services are STILL available at 226 S. Jefferson Street, 10 am -10 pm.

The level of entitlement with society today is absolutely mind blowing. I’m so grateful when I got sober there wasn’t treatment centers on every corner and Medicaid insurance. The amount of people that call and expect to move in for free (until they get on their feet) and then get mad when we tell them that’s not reality, is CRAZY. Where the hell can you live for free at? Jail and the shelter but that’s not free either because someone is paying for it. That’s the problem people have been living free too long and they think they’re entitled which in reality they ain’t entitled to s**t accept Medicaid. They have no clue what it means to pay bills and what being accountable is. When you hold them accountable then you’re an as***le. 🤣 Imagine that. Medicaid may have been beneficial, but it’s really hurt in a lot of ways when it comes to entitlement and how people can just run right back to treatment. Most of these lower levels of care do nothing but bill the insurance company and feed you medication. They are absolutely clueless when it comes to treating addiction from a disease model and teaching their clients coping skills and educating them on with what’s wrong with them.

When you work the steps there’s a transformation that happens. It’s hard to explain….but easy to see in other people when it happens. Dwayne is a perfect example of that. He’s like night and day from when he first came to our house.

At an airport or on the plane, you may be charged $12

The bottle and the brand is the same, the only thing that changes is the place.

Each place gives a different value to the same product.

When you feel like you are worth nothing and everyone around you belittles you, change places, do not stay there.

Have the courage to change places and go to a place where you are given the value you deserve.

Surround yourself with people who really appreciate your worth. Don't settle for less!
