Huge thank you to Mission BBQ and their Community Ambassador, Rose for treating all of our Veterans to a catered lunch. We enjoyed delicious pulled pork and chicken, macaroni and cheese, baked beans, coleslaw, cornbread and their thirst quenching iced tea and lemonade. During lunch we got to learn about each of our Veterans as well as express our thanks for their service. Thank you again to Mission BBQ and we look forward to our next lunch outing to visit their location here in Frederick in November! 💕

Sorry, we are all still scratching our heads, totally mystified as we just finished watching Chuck Thomas Magic perform for the very first time here at Tranquillity! We were all in amazement at all his different magic tricks. Residents were having so much fun watching everything from the endless money trick, rope and ring trick, even having Natalee and Case make an egg disappear and reappear, plus so many more! Residents are already asking me to bring him back, stay tuned as we will make him "reappear" in November! Thank you so much to Chuck for his awesome magic act!!! 🎩🐰♣️

Today we celebrated Elephant Appreciation Day by creating our own personalized wooden elephants.
Here are some fun facts about elephants:
1. Largest land animals
2. Long gestation (22 months!)
3. Consume around 330 pounds of food daily

Fun fact: There are health benefits to sharing your gratitude with others! Cool, right? In addition to boosting self-esteem and feelings of self-worth, gratitude has been linked to exercising more, eating more nutritious meals, and taking preventive care measures such as regular check-ups at the doctor's office.

So pick up the phone and call a friend or knock on your neighbor's door and spread some gratitude today. It does a world of good!

Check out how we "Huddled Up and Chowed Down" yesterday by bidding farewell to Baseball Season and giving a huge welcome to Football Season. Yesterday's event was jam packed as we all got to hang out with our Frederick Keys Mascot - Keyote, as well as enjoy a huge array of tailgating snacks. We ended the day by taking turns trying to score a "touch down" in our new football friend. Be sure to check out our monthly calendar as well as Face Book to stay tuned in to our events!

We are loving our new game days! On Tuesday, we played "Get the Cup in the Square." Once again, our hoots of joy and cheering on our fellow residents could be heard all over the community as we were having such a blast. Our top two winners won themselves a "Quill" Buck that they can use at our General Store. Incentive to play and win! 🔲💰😃
