In 2014 David White, Somerset Herald, visited Australia and spoke in Melbourne and Sydney on "British Heraldry of the Great War". He has since given this talk on several other occasions in Britain over the course of the past four or five years.

Late last year the College of Arms uploaded an online exhibition titled "The First World War and the College of Arms". It is well worth looking through (click on the link below to do so).

The image we have highlighted here includes a supporter blazoned as "an Infantryman of the Australian Imperial Force". Thanks to Dr Richard Num, our Vice-President for South Australia, for drawing this to our attention.

In 1993, President Bush was named a Knight Commander Grand Cross of the Order of Bath by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II - the highest honorary rank the United Kingdom can bestow on a non-citizen. President Bush received similar high honors from Kuwait, the Federal Republic of Germany, Nicaragua, Poland, the Czech Republic and Saudi Arabia.
