This morning, staff at Methodist Hospital | Hill Country received a phone call that contained a threat to the hospital.
Federal, state and local resources were immediately deployed in response to the threat. After a thorough search of the building, law enforcement determined the hospital building was safe.

We are deeply grateful for the swift response of the Fredericksburg Texas Police Department, the Gillespie Country Sheriff's office, Fredericksburg Fire EMS and all first responders as well as the staff and caregivers who remained focused on serving our patients throughout the day.

We are proud to care for Hill Country and thankful for the many members of our community who place their trust in us every day.

Methodist Hospital Hill Country is partnering with AugustHeart and Austin Heart - Fredericksburg to provide lifesaving heart screenings for teens ages 13–18 in recognition of Heart Month.

These noninvasive screenings detect serious heart conditions that often go unnoticed in teens. Participants will also be invited to join a Hands‑Only CPR demonstration.

Methodist Hospital | Hill Country is excited to announce the 25th annual "Girl Talk" event, an educational and interactive opportunity for young girls and their parents or guardians to learn about the changes that come with growing up as a young woman.

Girls ages eight and older, accompanied by a parent or guardian, are invited to attend this special event. It will cover essential topics such as basic female anatomy, the menstrual cycle, feminine hygiene, and managing mood swings. The event will feature engaging discussions, Q&A sessions, and hands-on activities to foster a positive and open learning environment. Attendees will leave equipped with valuable knowledge, a “starter kit of essential items,” and resources to support continued conversations at home.
