Overcomers Ministry Temple Baptist Church Overcomers meets on Friday nights 7:00-8:30 (optional fellowship meal at 6:30pm), at Temple Baptist Church, 300 White Oak Rd, Fredericksburg.

For transportation and childcare call 540-373-0944. Overcomers is the best place to be on a Friday night! We are a Bible-based, Christ-centered recovery ministry for those overwhelmed by sins, struggles, and difficult events of life. ​ We focus on developing stability and right behavior through the spiritual principles found only in God's Word and made possible only through a relationship with Christ. Since the concepts are faith-based, Overcomers participants have a lifelong support system when integrated into the local church family. Our weekly meetings include a fellowship meal, time of testimony, small-group discussion and encouragement, and a message from the Bible teaching us how to apply God’s principles to our daily lives.

A PRAYER FOR THE OVERWHELMED…
"LORD, I have no control over the actions and attitudes of others, over life and death, or the wellness of others including myself and family. Therefore I choose to relinquish my right to WORRY and FRET over matters which belong exclusively to your domain. Deliver me from discouragement and despair over the relentless series of crisis's happening all around me. I REST in your oversight and wisdom. Now, make me a blessing to use the things which are in my power to help those in need. Thank you. Amen."

A thought that goes through the conscious mind is inconsequential because it is soon forgotten. But when that same thought is entertained (repeated), it enters the subconscious mind. And that is extremely consequential because the thoughts of your heart define you—'As a man thinks in his heart (subconscious mind), so is he.' Bringing every thought captive to Christ is the hard work of sanctification. It is easier to resist the initial thought than reclaim a contaminated mind.
