If you donโ€™t do anything else, do this to ๏ฝ๏ฝ๏ฝ˜๏ฝ‰๏ฝ๏ฝ‰๏ฝš๏ฝ… your health!โœจ

Add vegetables to every meal!

If I had to pick only ONE healthy habit for anyone to start, it would be this!

Vegetables add fiber, vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, antioxidants, and so much more!
No need to spend excess amounts of ๐Ÿ’ฐ on overpriced pills and powders that donโ€™t have great bioavailability and absorption! Just sneak some veggies into your meals and reap all the benefits! ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿฅ•๐Ÿฅฆ๐Ÿฅ”๐Ÿง…๐Ÿซ‘๐Ÿ ๐ŸŒฝ๐Ÿฅ—๐Ÿฅฌ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ

Some tips:
-aim for half your plate in veggies
-incorporate both starchy and non starchy veggies
-donโ€™t be afraid to try to veggies in unique ways
-aim for a colorful plate! More color means more variety of nutrients!

But for some reason we keep falling into these traps of fad diets, calorie counting, macro tracking, meal plans that are not designed by RDNs (the only people trained to accurately create meal plans), and other programs that donโ€™t work & arenโ€™t satisfying, but instead damage our physical & mental well-being.

These companies prey and make money off of our insecurities! But the thing isโ€ฆ. Changing your body isnโ€™t the answer to not feeling insecureโ€ฆ

I have no problem with wanting to be more fit or lose/gain some weightโ€ฆ but falling for these unhealthy scams is sooooo damaging for your metabolism and your relationship with food!

Stop letting these companies and programs steal your money, time, attention, and your self worth! Itโ€™s not worth it!

Itโ€™s a new yearโ€ฆso how about approaching health in a new way, not the same old fad diets that leave us disappointed and trapped.

Coffee Dessert Hummus for

โ„๐•–๐•”๐•š๐•ก๐•–:
* ๐Ÿญ ๐—–๐—ฎ๐—ป ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐—–๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ธ๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐˜€ (drained & rinsed)
* ๐Ÿญ/๐Ÿฐ๐—ฐ ๐—ก๐˜‚๐˜ ๐—•๐˜‚๐˜๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ, ๐—ง๐—ฎ๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ถ, ๐—ผ๐—ฟ ๐—š๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ผ๐—น๐—ฎ ๐—•๐˜‚๐˜๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐—ง๐—ฎ๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ถ (I used ๐™ฒ๐šŠ๐šœ๐š‘๐šŽ๐š  ๐™ฑ๐šž๐š๐š๐šŽ๐š› because itโ€™s keeps it sweet without adding too much extra flavor. ๐™ฟ๐šŽ๐šŠ๐š—๐šž๐š ๐™ฑ๐šž๐š๐š๐šŽ๐š› is such a strong flavor on itโ€™s own so itโ€™s not my fav. ๐šƒ๐šŠ๐š‘๐š’๐š—๐š’ is good, and makes it less sweet. ๐™ถ๐š›๐šŠ๐š—๐š˜๐š•๐šŠ ๐™ฑ๐šž๐š๐š๐šŽ๐š› is also a delicious ๐š—๐šž๐š ๐š๐š›๐šŽ๐šŽ option!)

* As a spread (great on toast, waffles, pancakes, etc.)
* As a dip (great with apples, pretzels, etc.)

* 1/4c Pumpkin puree (Add this with the coffee and itโ€™s like a PSL)
* 1/2-1 TBSP pumpkin spice seasoning
* Chocolate, white chocolate, Carmel, pretty much any yummy flavor (you could mix in melted chocolate/drizzle or just add some chocolate chips! Make it your own!)

โ€œIs a dietitian the same thing as a nutritionist?โ€

Yes! Thereโ€™s is a difference and itโ€™s actually pretty important!

The term โ€œnutritionistโ€ is not regulated.

While dietitians are required to go through rigorous coursework and tests to become qualified, a "nutritionist" requires zero qualifications! Meaning some nutritionists may be giving advice that is not helpful or even harmful! Some nutritionists may even be practicing outside of their scope of practice and true qualifications! RDs have a much broader scope of practice! AND they are trained on providing safe, effective, and science-based approaches for weight managment,
disease management, & more!

This is one of the many reasons that I am not stopping at nutritionist and am working towards becoming a dietitian.

Nutritionists may be very knowledgeable in nutrition and health. Nutritionists can be very helpful in helping you improve your health! BUT be sure you know how your nutritionist became qualified! Be careful of "nutritionists" who are not qualified and are practicing outside of their scope!
