“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
— Exodus 14:14

Pregnancy and motherhood can stir so many battles in our hearts — fears about birth, worries about our babies, anxieties about doing it all “right.” But you don’t have to fight every fight alone. God is already moving on your behalf, even in the waiting. Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is to be still.

Where can you let go of control this week and trust that God is working behind the scenes?

🕊️ Peace doesn’t always come from doing more — sometimes it’s found in surrender.

— Proverbs 31:25

Pregnancy, birth, and motherhood bring so many unknowns — and with them, plenty of worry. But God reminds us that we can be clothed in strength and dignity, facing tomorrow with peace instead of fear. You don’t have to know what’s coming next to walk forward with confidence.

🌿 New “Spill the Tea” Birth Story: Monet’s First Birth 🌿

Some births don’t follow the plan.
Some don’t come with the support you hoped for.
But some still leave a mamma feeling steady—rooted in her decisions and surrounded by grace.

Monet is a Fredericksburg mom who wanted a doula but didn’t have one. Even so, she entered labor with clarity, made confident choices, and felt peace when she met her baby girl.

Her story is real, grounded, and beautifully honest—shared with the hope it brings encouragement to another mamma walking a similar path.

✨ Evidence-Based Doula Care: For Parents ✨

This is the start of a short series where I’ll be sharing the evidence-based benefits of doula care for parents, babies, and beyond. Each week I’ll highlight a new way that families are supported, strengthened, and upheld through this kind of care. 🌿

According to the Cochrane Review (summarized by Evidence Based Birth), people who received doula support were:

✔️ 39% less likely to have a cesarean
✔️ 15% more likely to have a spontaneous vaginal birth
✔️ 10% less likely to use any pain medication
✔️ And their labors were, on average, 41 minutes shorter

Research continues to show that continuous support makes a meaningful difference in birth outcomes.

- Matthew 11:28

Motherhood can feel heavy — sleepless nights, endless to-do lists, worries about doing it “right.” But you don’t have to carry it all alone. Jesus promises rest — not just physical, but a deep soul-rest that meets you right where you are.

What would it look like for you to set down one burden this week? Even just for a moment. To breathe, to pray, to trust that you are already enough.

🕊️ Rest is not weakness. Rest is holy.
