What started out as a hobby quickly became a passion for our Dad, Dermatologist John Hendrix when he started keeping bees in 2011. Based in Free Union, Virginia just outside Charlottesville, DoxBeez started with just a couple hives and not much honey. We, twins Erin and Logan Hendrix, now in college at Washington and Lee University (pictured below at 5 years old), have joined Dr. Hendrix in his enthusiasm for bees, selling our local honey as well as our organic, petroleum free lip balm handmade from beeswax found right in our backyard!
