This Veterans Day, we extend our sincerest thanks to all military veterans and their families. Last week, we held our annual flag-raising ceremony to honor veterans from CentraState's community, including team members, medical providers, volunteers, auxilians and senior residents who served in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Special recognition was given to Evelyn Tutunjian, a 106-year-old Monmouth Crossing resident and World War II Army nurse. Stationed in South Wales, Evelyn assisted in lifesaving surgeries for wounded soldiers. After returning from the war, Evelyn continued serving her community, working many years as an operating room nurse in New Jersey.
