Join us for Pilates Reformer Couples Night Out: a fun, beginner-friendly way to move, laugh, and try something new together. You’ll rotate through equipment for the full Reformer experience. No experience needed!

Congratulations to Personal Trainer of the Month, Tom! 🙌

🎓 Education & Certifications: B.A. in Psychology (cum laude) from The George Washington University, Master's of Acupuncture from Maryland University of Integrative Health, Certified Personal Trainer from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

đź’Ş Specialties: Hypertrophy, integrative wellness, weight loss, NASM-certified nutrition coach and bodybuilding coach.

🥾 Fun Fact: "I love to travel and I am on a mission to see all the National Parks!"

💬 Why did you go into Personal Training? "Helping others improve their lives is my passion, and I am fortunately able to pursue my passion every day. Having a direct, positive impact on somebody’s life is an incredible gift, and Personal Training has been incredibly rewarding for me in this way. Due to impending Winter Storm Fern and the State of Emergency declared by Governor Sherrill, the Center will be closed on Sunday, January 25.

All Center activities are cancelled for the day.

In light of the impending Winter Storm Fern, we are planning for the Center to be closed on Sunday, January 25.

All Center activities are cancelled for the day.

Congratulations to our January Instructor of the Month, Kristine! 🙌

💪 What’s your favorite format or class to teach, and why does it light you up?
"I honestly love teaching all the formats I offer, so it’s hard to choose just one. ZUMBA® and Bellydance are pure fun—high-energy, creative, and full of expressive choreography. Barre and Mat Pilates challenge me in a different way, focusing on posture, strength, control, and breath. Both styles make the body feel stronger and more aligned."

🌟 What’s one thing you hope participants feel when they leave your class?
"I always hope they leave feeling energized, accomplished, and happy—like they had fun & got a great workout to carry them through the rest of the day."

đź’Ş What inspired you to become a Group Fitness instructor?
"I became an instructor after having my kids and facing some health issues. I started taking a variety of classes and committed to my own morning workouts. Seeing my body and health improve was empowering. When my gym asked if I’d consider teaching, I never imagined it would be something I’d do—but I took the leap. Nearly 20 years later, I’m so grateful I did. The journey keeps getting better."

🇵🇱 What’s something fun or unexpected about you outside the studio?
"I love my Polish heritage and traditions. Both of my parents are from Poland, and I grew up learning the language and cultural customs. And yes—I love making homemade pierogis!"

“Kelly, I am very appreciative of your program at the CentraState Fitness & Wellness Center. My husband Emilio and I joined around a year ago. Most of all, I love your Pilates classes. I am truly astonished by the improvement in my posture and figure since participating in these classes. I enjoy coming to the center and working out with other members, and of course, also seeing you!

However, I’m a huge fan of virtual classes that I attend weekly. I also tune in virtually to other locations that are included in my membership! One thing I can attest to is that you are the best instructor of all! I’m always amazed by the verbal direction you give us throughout the class to help us focus on moving our bodies properly. I feel cared for in your class and inspired to take a risk and stretch myself a little at a time. I’m a senior citizen, not particularly good at anything too physical.

When I could take a “new” class virtually a few times and follow along successfully, it gave me confidence to come to the center and join the class with others.”
