If you’ve gotten used to eating a lot of sugar and you’re going for a detox that prescribes full elimination of it, expect there to be days when you literally would do ANYTHING for a chocolate chip cookie (or sweet treat of your choice).
This is normal - sugar is addictive. Prepare accordingly by having a plan to distract yourself when these thoughts arise. That could look like going for a walk, calling a friend, or writing in a journal about your cravings.
Have you been wanting to feel your best and stay your healthiest as we give 2020 the good ol' heave ho and welcome in 2021?!?!
I know I have, and I feel a great way to start that process is with a sugar detox. Say WHATTTTTT?!?!?!?
I get it, I really do! Thanksgiving Pies, Christmas cookies, Holiday parties, Cocktails on the regular...
Now, I am a realist to the core- I am not saying you need to forgo all the tastes and treats that you enjoy this time of year, I am saying...just think about being more mindful of the AMOUNT consumed.
For those who want to bring it to the next level, by all means, GO ALL IN!
We are not only entering the holiday season but it's also "cold, flu and corona" season as well. Making extra effort to be sure your immune system is functioning top notch is imperative for everyone right now. So, go ahead and enjoy the Sugar Detox tips I will be sharing over the next month, I hope you find value in it.
