THEN and NOW 💛

We are coming up on the 2-year anniversary of Evelyn’s Blessings… and what an incredible two years it has been.

If you’re new here—welcome. We’re so glad you found us. 💛
What started as a simple dream from a little girl has grown into something we never could have imagined—reaching hearts not just in our community, but across the country. What a blessing Evelyn truly is.

Evelyn’s journey began shortly after we lost our Pappy. He was larger than life in our family, and the loss left a space in our hearts that felt impossible to fill. During visits to his long-term care facility, Evelyn noticed something that stayed with her—a resident who held a baby doll in her wheelchair each day.

On the way home, Evelyn asked if we could help bring that same comfort to others. She wanted everyone in a long-term care facility to have something to hold, to love, and to bring them peace. Anyone who knows Evelyn knows how much she has always loved baby dolls—but this was something deeper. This was compassion in its purest form.

As we learned more about dementia and memory-related illnesses, we discovered lifelike companion animals—and Evelyn knew right away they had to be part of her mission too.

With the support of the Orange County Community Foundation, Evelyn’s Blessings became a nonprofit… and in just two short years, we have placed nearly 1,000 companion animals and baby dolls into the hands of residents who needed comfort most.

One thousand moments of connection.
One thousand opportunities for peace.
One thousand reminders that they are not alone. 💛

And none of this would be possible without you.

You have supported Evelyn in ways we will never forget—cheering her on, sharing her story, watching her on the news, purchasing teacup bird feeders and Blind Date with a Books, offering encouragement, and lifting her up in prayer.

As Evelyn’s mom, I cannot fully express what it means to see not only those closest to us rally around her, but also complete strangers who have chosen to believe in her mission.

Our hope is that when you’re here, you feel something special—love, connection, and pride in watching a young girl pour her heart into caring for others in their most vulnerable moments.
