We have some news to share.

This week, Madame USA published a feature on Go
Behavioral and the work our team has been building
since 2018. They titled it "Redefining Global
Healthcare and Behavioral Innovation," and honestly,
I read those words a few times before I knew what
to feel.

Pride was part of it. So was a quiet kind of
disagreement.

Because the work we do isn't innovative in the way
the headline suggests. We don't use new technology
that nobody else has. We don't have a secret
methodology that other clinics don't. What we do,
when it works, works because of something much
simpler than that.

We listen first. We recommend second. We build the
plan with the family, not for them.

That's it. That's the whole philosophy.

When I started Go Behavioral in Orlando in 2018,
I was a clinician with a question that wouldn't
leave me alone. Why does so much of behavioral
health feel designed for the system, and so
little of it feel designed for the family?

The answer I kept arriving at was uncomfortable.
Most of behavioral health is built around what
is measurable, billable, and standardized. Not
around what is human, slow, and individual.

Building Go Behavioral has been an attempt to
answer that question differently.

To every family we have worked with since 2018,
thank you. You have taught me more than any of
my own training did. You have shown me what real
parenting looks like in the hardest moments. You
have trusted us with your children, and there is
no greater honor than that.

To my team, the BCBAs, RBTs, clinical directors,
and operations staff who show up every day across
our locations in California and Florida, you are
the reason any of this works. The article has my
name on it, but the work has yours.

And to any parent reading this who is somewhere
in this journey, whether you're newly diagnosed,
deep in the middle, or transitioning into
adulthood, please know we see you. The work isn't
about us. It's about your child. It always has
been.

link in our bio.

With gratitude,

Most parents miss these early signsโ€ฆ until itโ€™s too late to act early.

Autism doesnโ€™t always show up in obvious ways. It starts small. Subtle behaviors that are easy to ignore but important to notice. If your child avoids eye contact, doesnโ€™t respond to their name, has delayed speech, repeats the same actions, or seems overly sensitive to sounds and touchโ€ฆ these can be early indicators.

Catching these signs early can make a huge difference in your childโ€™s development. Early support leads to better communication, learning, and confidence.

If something feels off, trust your instinct. You donโ€™t need to wait.

What a Saturday. ๐Ÿ’™

This weekend our team showed up at Run with Superheroes
in Fresno, and honestly, it was one of the best days
we've had as a clinic this year.

For those who don't know, Run with Superheroes brings
together families, local organizations, and yes... actual
costumed superheroes... to celebrate our autism community
and raise funds for inclusion. Spider-Man, Batman, the
Fuego mascot, and a giraffe in a superhero cape all
made appearances. The kids loved every second of it.

At our booth, we set up Connect Four, bowling, ring toss,
bubbles, and a giant awareness banner. We talked to
parents about their kids' journeys, handed out goodie
bags, and watched a few hundred children remind us
exactly why this work matters.

We want to thank the organizers, our partners, the
families who stopped by, and especially our team....
and everyone who spent the day under
the tent in the sun making sure every kid got their
turn at the games.

If you came by our booth and we got to meet you and
your family, thank you. You made our day.

If you didn't make it but you've been wondering whether
ABA could help your child, our team is here for
that conversation. Send us a message or visit
gobehavioral.com to learn more.

We'll see you at the next one. ๐Ÿ’™

Six months can pass quickly, but early support can change so much within that time.

Progress rarely begins by waiting. it grows when the right guidance, structure, and support are put in place. taking action early can help create stronger momentum, clearer direction, and better outcomes over time.

The best time to start is often sooner than later.

Communication is more than spoken words. gestures, visuals, signs, and AAC are all meaningful ways a child expresses needs, thoughts, and connection. when we notice those efforts and respond with patience, communication grows with confidence. every voice matters, even when it sounds different from what others expect.

Save this post to remember that every form of communication counts.

Autism does not always match the stereotypes people expect to see.

Some signs are visible. many are not. and that is exactly why understanding autism requires more than assumptions based on appearance, speech, or behavior in one moment.

Some children may make eye contact. some may speak well. some may appear socially engaged. that does not mean they are not struggling in ways others cannot immediately notice.

Greater awareness starts when we stop expecting autism to look only one way.
