Priscilla Gomez-Castillo is celebrating 4 years clean this year! Another FF sister doing amazing things and giving back to people in recovery!

"proud to say I’m an alumni of Fresno First—I graduated in 2021, and this year I’ll be celebrating 4 years clean and sober. I can’t thank God enough, and I’m forever grateful to the amazing staff at Fresno First for believing in me, encouraging me, and showing me a new way to live.

Because of this journey, I get to show up every day as the mother and grandmother I was always meant to be. The gifts that sobriety has given me are beyond anything I could’ve imagined. Today, I’m an AOD counselor, and just recently, I got married—something I never thought possible before recovery.

Through the grace of God, my life has completely changed. Recovery is possible. We all deserve to live—not just exist."

"Recovery is possible and we do recover. Thank you Fresno First for believing in me when I didn't believe in myself. My recovery journey began with you guys. I learned so much about my addiction and about myself. I was addicted to drugs for many years & never could see myself sober. I was devoted to my addiction- now im devoted to Jesus & my kids. Here today im 3 years sober! Im fully present in my kids life. I'm working in the recovery field with clients who are sick, lost & feel hopeless. But there's hope! Don't give up! Keep fighting the good fight."
