Have you ever found yourself feeling guilty for finding a sliver of joy during a time that your heart is breaking?

A small laugh crept out amongst your tears?

A moment of calm amongst the chaos?

Nature flourishes amongst opposites.

Small flowers grow from a rotting log, a mountain can be both bathed in sunshine and shrouded in darkness, the ocean can be calm and still one moment and raging in a storm the next.

Nature teaches us that both can exist in the same space.

But sometimes our thoughts aren’t the most reliable source of truth. It can be difficult to know what is really true or not. This frequently leads us down a path of self-doubt and shaky confidence.

The Walk For Peace might be done, but it’s not finished.

The impact and presence they have had will be felt long after their walk concludes. What they have done will resonate for a long time with those of us who got to be in their presence and experience their movement.

Peace is not something that these Monks get passively. It’s not about an absence of conflict or something that comes from isolation. It’s an active commitment that comes from daily actions and choices.
