It looks like we need more nasal vaccines for respiratory viruses, starting with COVID-19, and to increase usage of the nasal vaccine for influenza. I wasn't aware that a nasal COVID-19 vaccine had been developed 18 mos. ago and approved for use in India. We still don't have a nasal COVID vaccine in the US, with COVID currently running rampant again. But when you get your influenza immunization this fall, try to get the live attenuated influenza vaccine (FluMist Quadravalent) if you are age 2 to 49, inclusive. You may get better influenza protection for yourself and your family, even though it means you will need to get a separate COVID-19 shot.
