Ann was born in Fulton, KY. on February 24,1951 to the late Eugene Melton and Oneida Brents Fortner.

She graduated from Fulton High School in 1969 and married her husband of 55 years, Danny Ray Faulkner on July 3,1970. Danny and Ann were always seen together lending a helping hand to anyone that needed it and sharing those infectious smiles.

A lifetime resident of this community, Ann was a member of South Fulton Baptist Church and retired from the Obion County School System where she worked many years as a Teacher’s Aide at So. Fulton Elementary School. She also enjoyed serving as a Troop Leader for the local Girl Scouts of America and of course spoiling her three wonderful grandchildren.

Ann leaves her husband, Danny Ray Faulkner, So. Fulton, TN., and her Children, Stacey Ann Faulkner Hill, Columbus, KY. and Chad Ray (Stephanie) Faulkner, Knoxville, TN., her Grandchildren, Emily Ann Powell, Jacksonville, NC., Jackson Alan Hill, Paducah, KY., and Kaelyn Breanna Latta, Knoxville, TN. and a sister, Jane Lay, Garland, Texas.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Henderson and 2 brothers, Jerry and Ronnie Fortner.

Funeral services for Ann Faulkner will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel. Dr. Ron Cox will officiate. Burial will follow in the Obion County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 20,2025 at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel from 5:00-7:00 pm.

Memorials may be made to, Spina Bifida Association, 2000 Duke Street, Suite 300, Alexandria, VA 22314, in memory of her great nephew, Craig Williams.
