Looking to stay informed and connected on your pre-health journey at UF?
We invite you to join both of our Medi-Gators Facebook groups here on this page. Each designed with a unique purpose in mind:

UF Pre-Health Opportunities: This group is tailored for current UF students pursuing a career in healthcare. Created as a space to find and share clinical jobs, research, volunteering, shadowing, and other pre-health opportunities. Created by students, for students with direct access to helpful resources like our curated Pre-Health Opportunities Sheet and UF Pre-Health Advising links.

University of Florida Pre-Health Families and Students: Is perfect for students, families, incoming Gators, and alumni this group fosters a supportive community to ask questions, share advice, and stay connected. Parents and guardians are strongly encouraged to join this group and connect with other parents and guardians. Managed by our team, we offer insight as trained peer mentors across all pre-health tracks, as well as personal expirences with everything from dorms to involvement recommendations.

We are thrilled to share that this summer, the Medi-Gators Program has experienced remarkable growth and success!

Over the past few months, we have been extremely fortunate to expand our team to continue providing more valuable opportunities for University of Florida pre-health students. From participating in our Summer Virtual Shadowing Program to attending Peer Mentoring sessions, the enthusiasm and dedication demonstrated by our participants have been truly inspiring.

A big thank you to our Medi-Gators Leadership Team, Executive Director Alyson Moriarty, Faculty Director Dr. Pouya Ameli, the healthcare professionals who spoke for our Virtual Shadowing Program, and all students who participated in any aspect of our program this summer. Your support has been instrumental in creating such impactful experiences.

We look forward to continuing this momentum and making even greater strides in the coming months. Stay tuned for more updates and exciting developments!

Medi-Gators is proud to announce its newest Pre-Health Families and Students Facebook Group. This community is for everything pre-health at the University of Florida. Whether you're an incoming freshman, current student, family member, parent or an alumni, this group is built for you! ‍

Virtual Shadowing will take place from July 8th, 2024 to July 26th, 2024. Live Zoom sessions will be held Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:40 a.m. to 10:40 a.m. & 10:55 a.m. to 11:55 a.m. You can participate Synchronously through Zoom and Asynchronously through recordings on Canvas.
