Here at The Phoenix at Lake Lanier, we have had the amazing opportunity to partner with students from Piedmont University for two semesters now! These student groups provide the most inspiring experiences for our lovely residents. Each and every week, they come into our community with the biggest smiles, the kindest words of encouragement, and a fun, fresh activity for our residents to enjoy. We are working together to keep our residents entertained, happy, and healthy. Wednesday’s theme was Wacky Tacky! We started our day with a beautiful breakfast bar hosted by the lovely Golden Rule Hospice. Following our yummy breakfast, we had our monthly Reading Road Show with Hall County Library. After lunch we designed our very own tacky socks, and we ended our day with a Wine-d Down Happy Hour! What a whirlwind of a day!

Taco Tuesday was a total fiesta at The Phoenix at Lake Lanier! We started our day with a Piñata smash hosted by Appalachian Hospice. The residents gave it all they had, and we even called in some of our staff members for reinforcement! Our Piñata party was immediately followed by a delicious taco bar lunch provided by our amazing food and beverage department. We ended the day with a DIY sombrero design party! It was a fun day!

Monday's theme for AL Week kept us groovy! Lake Lanier took it back to the 60's! We started our day with a friendly but competitive staff and resident Minute-to-Win-It game! Mrs. Shelley took home our winning prize, a beautiful bee themed basket from our lovely Inspire Hospice! The competition continued with axe throwing with Family Hospice. We jammed out during our Beatles Bingo, and finished our day with 60's themed Fashion Show! We had a fabulous day! Thank you to each and every person who helped make this day possible. Today was our first ever First Responder's Lunch, and we didn't let an emergency call get us down! It was a beautiful day to enjoy lunch outside in the company of friends and family. To make it even better, we got to hand deliver lunch trays to the First Responders in our area. We love and appreciate each and every person that helped make this day so special. Our residents love giving back to the community, and today was no different!
