Spending extended time in front of digital screens can significantly reduce your blink rate by as much as 66% which often leads to dry, irritated eyes. Blinking is essential for keeping your eyes moist and comfortable, so when it decreases, dryness and discomfort can follow. To help protect your eyes, remember to take regular breaks using the 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds. Your eyes will thank you for the rest and moisture they need.
