Did you know that up to 70–80% of pregnant women experience swelling?
And most are told… “that’s normal.”
But here’s the thing—
👉 just because it’s common doesn’t mean it’s harmless.
During pregnancy, the body goes through major changes:
• Blood volume increases by up to 50%
• The growing uterus puts pressure on circulation
• The lymphatic system has to work overtime
For many women, this leads to swelling that can feel uncomfortable, heavy, and sometimes even concerning—but often goes untreated unless it becomes a bigger issue.
👑 As a Certified Lymphedema Therapist, Occupational Therapist, mom of two, and with my own experience with chronic venous insufficiency, this is where I see an opportunity to do more. 👑
We can:
✔️ Help manage swelling safely
✔️ Support the lymphatic AND nervous system
✔️ Improve comfort, mobility, and daily function
✔️ And help prevent longer-term issues like persistent swelling or venous problems
This isn’t just about reducing fluid—it’s about supporting women through one of the most physically demanding times in their lives.
I’ll be teaching more about this in an upcoming webinar, and I’m really excited to bring more awareness to this space 💛
