If you’ve visited our CMS Pediatric practice recently, you may have noticed a new and colorful addition to our clinic walls 🎨. This new artwork was created by 8th grader Clancy H. as part of a community service project with his school. His creativity now brings color, comfort and smiles to the children and families who visit our clinic.

We see that you even included a GATOR too! :)

We're a few days into the new year and we’re still smiling about our first baby of 2026 💙!

Welcoming the year’s first arrival was a joyful moment for our pediatric and maternal care teams, and a reminder of the trust families place in us every day.

Thank you to all the families who allow us to care for you and your little ones as new beginnings unfold.

Jersey was born at 6:34 a.m. on January 1 at UF Health Shands Children's Hospital, weighing exactly eight pounds. He and his mother, Taylor, are excited for all that 2026 brings.

Look who was spotted in our pediatric cardiac intensive care unit!

Santa, along with a few helpers from the University of Florida Public Safety team dropped off lots of goodies for our patients and their families! 🎅

Santa and University of Florida Public Safety were back at UF Health Shands Children's Hospital to deliver toys and smiles!

Santa traded his sleigh for wagons full of toys this year, delivering to girls and boys across our pediatric units. For more than a decade, UFPD has helped make the holidays brighter at UF Health by organizing a toy drive and generously donating gifts.

Thank you to UFPD for continuing to bring comfort, laughter, and unforgettable moments to the children and families we serve.

We love seeing heart warming updates from our patients who are celebrating incredible milestones! ❤️ 🎉

Natalia, a 10-year-old double lung transplant patient just celebrated her first Thanksgiving with her new lungs.

Special thanks to our entire pediatric lung transplant team, lead by pediatric pulmonologist, Dr. Marc Schecter for providing nationally-recognized expertise and compassionate care.

Because of their dedication, patients like Natalia can continue making unforgettable memories with their families!
