On Thursday, March 19, 2026, the Galloway Township Emergency Services Team joined the students and faculty of Roland Rogers Elementary School to participate in the 16th Annual St. Baldricks Fundraiser. Learning of the event organized by Mr. Brian Dunn of Roland Rogers, Officer Alex Bennett organized the Emergency Services Team and invited local first responders to participate in the event.

Participants from Galloway Township's Emergency Services Team included: Firefighters Kolby Rundio and Robert Hewitt, Galloway Emergency Medical Technicians Luke Savell, Payton Muzyka, Christopher Siracusa, Mason Johanesson, and Sean Wynkoop, and Police Officers Alex Bennet, David LaSassa, Brent Grunow, and Mark D'Esposito. The event was an enormous success, resulting in over $34,000 of donations.

The St. Baldrick's Foundation funds the most promising cancer research just for kids. St. Baldrick's is the top charitable funder of childhood cancer research grants in the U.S. and around the world. Each year, thousands of volunteers worldwide organize fundraisers, such as the signature head-shaving events, to raise money to support life-saving childhood cancer research.

St. Baldrick's events are the largest volunteer-powered fundraising opportunity benefiting pediatric cancer research. The St. Baldrick's Foundation also advocates at the national level in the U.S. for increased federal funding for pediatric cancer research and more effective public policy to serve children with cancer. Since 2005, St. Baldrick's has awarded more than $371 million to support lifesaving research, making the St. Baldrick's Foundation the largest charitable funder of childhood cancer research grants.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event an enormous success!

Training is essential, not just for our staff, but for all who serve the community. Lt. Rodenas taught first aid and “Stop the Bleed” for the hard working firefighters out of the Bayview Fire House. We appreciated the request. Everyone did a fantastic job and continue ever-ready to jump in when seconds matter most.

Assistant Chief Adams enjoyed speaking with the ACIT students and sharing all of the opportunities GTAS has to offer. We have a ride along program, a paid apprenticeship program, and part time and full time opportunities. We’re looking forward to seeing more from these students!

On February 26, the Atlantic County Institute of Technology (ACIT) hosted its largest career fair in school history by business participation, bringing together 54 leading businesses, trade unions, higher education partners, and community organizations to connect with hundreds of students in grades 9–12.

❄️Blizzard Warning❄️
Once again, our region is preparing for winter weather. The US National Weather Service Philadelphia/Mount Holly has issued a blizzard warning for our area. We have spent the day planning and preparing. All five municipalities we service will have ambulances staged within their city limits. We will also post crews throughout the Township of Galloway to provide quicker response times to all areas.

⚠️We are encouraging everyone to prepare now and remain off the roads tomorrow. Governor Mikie Sherrill has issued a state of emergency beginning tomorrow, February 22 begining at 12 noon. ⚠️

🚑Please remember that, depending on the conditions, it may take crews longer, even with our staffing increases. Our goal is to arrive safely! 🚑
