🚨 Lifesaving Recognition 🚨
On September 4th, 2025, during the City's council meeting, the Absecon Police Department proudly recognized several of our officers and members of the Galloway Township Ambulance Squad for their outstanding actions during two recent life-saving incidents.
On July 24th, 2025, officers responded to a medical emergency at the Home Depot for an unconscious male. Before their arrival, retired local firefighter Phil Boyle jumped into action and began providing medical attention. Working quickly alongside members of the Galloway Township Ambulance Squad, officers initiated life-saving measures, including CPR, and were able to regain a pulse before transport.
Thanks to their swift and coordinated efforts, the individual was transported to the hospital and has since made a full recovery. He accompanied the awarded first responders at the ceremony, with his family.
