Participants from Galloway Township's Emergency Services Team included: Firefighters Kolby Rundio and Robert Hewitt, Galloway Emergency Medical Technicians Luke Savell, Payton Muzyka, Christopher Siracusa, Mason Johanesson, and Sean Wynkoop, and Police Officers Alex Bennet, David LaSassa, Brent Grunow, and Mark D'Esposito. The event was an enormous success, resulting in over $34,000 of donations.
The St. Baldrick's Foundation funds the most promising cancer research just for kids. St. Baldrick's is the top charitable funder of childhood cancer research grants in the U.S. and around the world. Each year, thousands of volunteers worldwide organize fundraisers, such as the signature head-shaving events, to raise money to support life-saving childhood cancer research.
St. Baldrick's events are the largest volunteer-powered fundraising opportunity benefiting pediatric cancer research. The St. Baldrick's Foundation also advocates at the national level in the U.S. for increased federal funding for pediatric cancer research and more effective public policy to serve children with cancer. Since 2005, St. Baldrick's has awarded more than $371 million to support lifesaving research, making the St. Baldrick's Foundation the largest charitable funder of childhood cancer research grants.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this event an enormous success!
