Abby’s journey is nothing short of extraordinary. After beating Stage 3 colorectal cancer in 2020, she went on to face not one, not two, but three strokes—each time finding the strength to fight her way back. Through loss, setbacks, and countless challenges, Abby’s determination never wavered. With the support of our Moody Neuro Space Center team, she rebuilt her strength, balance, speech, and independence.
Yesterday, Abby graduated from Moody Neurorehabilitation Institute, ready to chase her dreams of horseback riding again and pursuing her passion for floral design. 🌹🐎
Her story reminds us all: resilience and hope can carry you through anything. Congratulations, Abby—you inspire us every day! 💙

In May 2025, Mary came to Moody Neuro after a stroke left her needing full assistance. Today, thanks to her determination and therapy team, she’s walking with a walker, dressing herself, and regaining her independence. 💪
Mary is excited to return home, enjoy the park with her son and grandson, and get back to gardening—the yard she loves so much. 🌱❤️ Her journey is a reminder that with perseverance, recovery is always possible.

Moody Neuro in Lubbock had an incredible summer filled with graduate student interns in our physical, occupational, and speech therapy departments. These students gained valuable experience working within both interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary treatment approaches—allowing for cross-training and the integration of skills across sessions to enhance outcomes.

A big THANK YOU to our staff for sharing your knowledge and expertise with these future clinicians. Hands-on experience is the best way to learn therapeutic interventions for the neuro population, and your willingness to mentor and guide these students makes a lasting impact.
