Teardown of Pallets

Job Description

Primarily responsible for teardown of pallets.

Available Shifts:

Day, Night and Weekend shifts open

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently throughout shift
Strong safety orientation and proven record of complying with safety requirements
Demonstrated track record of consistent and reliable on-the-job contribution
Ability to work independently with limited supervision or with a team

Experience:
Operating power equipment (e.g., forklift, reach truck, yard truck)

Monday - Friday 7am - 4pm & some weekends.

Pay Range Starting at $23+ (Based on experience)

Required Qualifications

At least 2 year experience is required
Safe, clean driving record

Valid Commercial Driver's License is required

Strong Work Ethic

Responsibilities:

Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck

Properly track and document activity log

Report any issues or incidents to dispatch

Inspect truck before and after trip.

Oversee accurate and timely status information; trailers are updated in appropriate tracking systems, handle incoming emails and calls as quickly as possible to reduce the driver and customer wait time, and process incoming activities to ensure requests are resolved in a timely manner.

Continuous improvement in cycle time for customer communications, in order to maintain the highest level of Customer satisfaction and to keep our company running effectively and smoothly.
Identify and work with leaders to resolve potential customer service, cargo claim(s).

Maintain customer relationships by responding to inquiries and documenting actions.

Support order acknowledgement process with BOL (Bill Of Lading), trailer counts, swaps, lot / yard checks, updating IWICS open trailers and closing them as appropriate, and customer shipments confirmation(s).

Maintain customer records by updating / entering information in IWICS, Sage / QBO and ShareFile.

Support customer service tracking and reporting trailers as assigned.
Support customers and sales team with all aspects of order / trailer inquiry, quoting, order confirmation, order status, etc. to ensure smooth processing.

Provide back-up support / reports
Assist with month-end closing of open trailer(s) in IWICS, research any open trailer(s) needing closed, itemize push-backs and enter in the AP upload.

Communicates with on-site managers to assist in completing pre-close and close activities, answer questions, provide support, and ensure timely completion of accounting processes for on- time reporting.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS :

Previous customer service experience – 3-5 years

Able to execute tasks in a thorough and professional manner.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Ability to work well under deadlines and to multi-task.

Detail-oriented and strong organization skills.

Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities with strong time management skills.

Maintain confidentiality.

Proficiency in Email / Microsoft 365

Education – High School Diploma
* Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required*

Fast Facts Friday:

Did you know there is an average of 80 nails in a wood pallet? When we repair a pallet, there can be upwards of 80+ nails that are taken out. To do as much as we can to help the landfills and have zero waste we recycle all the nails we take out of the repaired pallets. On a normal day that can be upwards of 320,000+ nails!
