So many firefighters and national guards put in so many tireless hours the past few weeks and deserve some gratitude, healing, love and support. True marks of healing. Guasha is a practice used in acupuncture to unblock the channels, decrease inflammation and increase circulation. We use tools to rub on the skin, and stimulate the body to heal. In other words, it makes the pain go away. relief

One of my patients came in a few weeks ago with a lipoma that was a little larger than the size of a 50 cent piece. It was really inflamed and raised about an inch above the surface of the skin. It had been growing for about a year next to a smaller lipoma that had been there for 10 years. The lipoma has flattened and is now smaller than a dime! Although acupuncture, herbs, a few cabbage leaves and a topical paste made of natural ingredients may help, nothing can beat a determined patient who complies with your recommendations, and does his part in making good dietary decisions. I am thankful for patients like this one, and I am humbled.
