Taking Charge of Your Life by Accepting Responsibility
How Ho’oponopono Can Clear the Conditioning That Keeps You Stuck
“What if every problem in your life—your pain, your anger, your relationships, even your illness—had one root cause: refusing to take responsibility?”
Have you ever felt timid about something in your life? Who is responsible for that feeling?
Parents?
Friends?
A personal experience from the past?
A news report about something horrible?
Today, I felt timid about writing this article. To tell the truth, I have been feeling timid about writing at all. Healing is easy. Writing about healing?
Who the hell am I to give someone hope that they can take charge of their life?
That they can self-heal?
How would I write it?
What would I say?
What if no one reads it?
The Power of Ho’oponopono
Ho’oponopono. It’s about taking full responsibility for everything within your life.
Responsibility for all of your experiences, all of your thoughts—absolutely everything you have come in contact with throughout your life.
These things are now part of your story.
Because they are part of your story, we take full responsibility for them.
A song you heard.
A movie you saw.
An incident in the street.
All are now part of you.
They may create strength and wisdom. They may create chaos.
It is your choice whether to take full responsibility or not.
This is where most people stop reading.
Taking responsibility for their life and actions can seem difficult and uncomfortable.
Taking responsibility is Power
When we decide not to take responsibility, we may suffer:
Unexplained disease
Aches
Pains
Dysfunctional relationships
A dysfunctional life.
Everything we experience has the potential to hurt us or heal us. When we hold onto negativity long enough, we drift away from our Cosmic Blueprint.
In Human Design, we are taught that we are born with a Cosmic Blueprint that shows us the “easiest” way to live our life.
Just as a rock quarry can be changed with dynamite, our lives can be shifted through experiences—through conditioning that takes us off our Cosmic path.
“I’m not good enough.”
“I’m weak.”
“Everyone is better than me.”
Accidents.
Injuries.
Physical Trauma
Mental Trauma
Emotional Trauma
Spiritual Trauma
Surgeries.
Clearing Timidity
Today I tested something.
In order to write this article, I had to clear blockages that were preventing me from writing it. I used insights from The Secret Language of Your Body by Inna Segal (page 21: the bladder).
You may be wondering what the bladder has to do with writing an article.
I muscle-tested to find the page I needed.
The first contributing factor associated with the bladder in the book is feeling timid.
I have been feeling very timid about writing. About educating people on what they can do for themselves outside of my one on one work.
About teaching people how simple it can be to take charge of their life.
Feeling timid.
NOW THE GOOD STUFF BEGINS
I’m sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.
Taking full responsibility for feeling timid—every time I have ever felt timid in my entire lifetime.
Anything I have seen, felt, heard, touched, or even tasted while feeling timid.
What was your experience the first time you ate an oyster? Timid? Hesitant?
I’m sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.
Feel free to tap along while you read. This is good stuff.
“I’m not good enough.”
“People already know this information.”
“I can’t write.”
“I don’t know.”
“What could I say that someone else hasn’t already said?”
I’m sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.
Over and over again.
Clear.Clear.Clear.
Clearing the conditioning that has been preventing me from being on my path.
The Root of Conditioning
When we acknowledge that the conditioning exists, we gain the ability to clear it. We can clear it because we are taking full responsibility for everything in our lives.
God wants us to be happy and authentic. It is time to take responsibility for that as well.
But what is authenticity?
What is happiness?
You may not know what your authentic self is because of the conditioning you have been carrying.
The emotional attachments to the past that keep you stuck in your “false” self.
As you release more and more conditioning—the aches, pains, sorrows, and hurts—you begin to uncover your authenticity.
Your happiness.
“Happiness is an inside job.”—Dan Millman, The Peaceful Warrior
In order to see the true you, you must clear the impurities living inside every cell of your body. 37 trillion cells.
What would you like those cells to be saying? I am timid or I am happy to be writing this amazing article? I chose the latter.
How to clear the conditioning
You may be asking:
“How do I clear the conditioning?”
It’s really simple—much easier than we have been led to believe.
First, we must acknowledge and accept that the conditioning exists. (Being timid.)
That may be the hardest part.
For some people—especially those with head injuries—we may believe we are right and everyone else is wrong. This can be due to damage and conditioning within the brain. (personal experience)
Because through conditioning, when you see weakness within yourself, you may begin to attack yourself for realizing you are “weak.”
But that is simply conditioning.
Conditioning that can be healed.
Now that you have a beginning, we practice Ho’oponopono.
You can even tap (EFT) while repeating the phrase. This helps you communicate with the limbic system—the subconscious or inner child—which facilitates deep, lasting change.
I’m sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.
These words are very powerful—if you truly believe them.
That’s the key.
We must believe what we are saying at a deep subconscious level.
Many times I am asked:
“Why am I sorry?
Why should I forgive them?
They hurt me.”
Remember, in Ho’oponopono we take full responsibility for everything in our lives.
This does not mean what was done to you was right.
It simply means: I am taking full responsibility for everything that occurred because I am the only person who has been present in my life from the beginning until now.
I am the greatest common denominator in my life.
We are forgiving ourselves for carrying the weight—the baggage, the conditioning—that prevents us from fully walking our life path.
Thank you.
How many times do you say thank you in a day?
Do you mean it?
Do you mean it when someone holds the door for you?
When someone says thank you to you, do you embody it—or brush it off?
Do you say thank you simply because that is what you were taught? Because if you didn’t, you got in trouble as a child?
Conditioning.
It is very important to learn these words deep within our heart, deep within our soul, deep within our aura.
When we truly believe what we are saying, the release can happen in the snap of a finger.
Maybe even faster.
Did you know the brain knows what is going to happen in your body before it happens—about 500 to 1,000 milliseconds before? This is known as the readiness potential (Benjamin Libet).
Where the truth is held
Our subconscious—our limbic system, our inner child, whatever you want to call it—remembers absolutely everything from our lifetime, whether we were conscious of it or not.
It remembers the truth. Our history.
It is our conscious mind that sometimes makes mistakes.
Our lifetime may even extend beyond the moment of conception.
Genetic imbalances passed down through generations can create chaos in your life today.
Past lives.Karmic residue.Your multidimensional self.
Whatever your belief system may be, these influences can affect your physical reality today.
I’m sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.
Clearing the conditioning over and over again.
Clear.Clear.Clear.
Until there is nothing left to clear—or until the next layer appears.
A different word.
A different phrase.
A different emotional attachment to an event in your life.
Or perhaps an emotional attachment to something in someone else’s life that you briefly became part of.
Taking full responsibility for your life.
That guy cut me off.
“He’s an asshole.”
But how do you know that guy didn’t just get fired from his job? Or receive a frantic call from home?
Maybe he wasn’t paying attention.
Maybe he didn’t cut you off because he was a jerk—but simply because, in that moment, he wasn’t fully aware.
Thankfully, you were paying attention.
And the accident didn’t happen.
I’m sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.
Taking full responsibility for your life.
And maybe—just maybe—helping the person who cut you off.
Helping every person who cut in line, cut you off, cheated, or hurt someone else.
The butterfly effect.
I’m sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.
Every time I look into anything related to my life path, it consistently points to being a healer and an educator.
Every single time, over and over again.
I tried to subconsciously fight it in the past, but now I have come into acceptance.
This is who I am.
This is what I have to offer.
This is how I do it.
The work I offer is fast.
It works on all the pieces and parts simultaneously—with full energy.
Practice Ho’oponopono yourself. Take Responsibility.
Responsibility is not punishment.Responsibility is power.
The moment you accept it, your life becomes changeable.
If you are familiar with tapping, do so now. If not, visit www.kimmcintire.com and download the tapping protocol. It is free.
Use either the tapping protocol or the 4-point technique. Think about something that is holding you back—anger, fear, worry, anxiety, an incident from the past, or something you want to achieve in the future.
Repeat the words:
I’m sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.
Allow anything to comes up. It may not even seem relevant. I promise it is. In some way, shape, or form it relates to the conditioning that is preventing you from being happy and authentic.
Continue repeating, clearing, and acknowledging anything that comes up until nothing comes up.
If you are new to this, it may take some time—so set time aside and be patient.
