A Big Thank You for a Successful Prostate Cancer Education Event! 🎗️

We’d like to extend our deepest gratitude to MUS Hollings Cancer Center and St. James Health & Wellness for partnering with us to host an incredibly successful prostate cancer education class.

We had an amazing turnout, and the knowledge shared about prevention, early detection, and treatment options will undoubtedly help save lives. A special shout out to the incredible healthcare professionals who made this event possible and for offering PSA testing on-site, making it easier than ever for individuals to take control of their health.

Together, we’re empowering our community with the tools and information needed to stay proactive in the fight against prostate cancer.

Thank you to everyone who attended and made this event a success. Stay healthy, stay informed, and let’s continue supporting one another on this important journey.

Great news!

I had the pleasure of meeting with the VA mobile staff Nurse Vanessa Bonner, MSW, LSW and Nurse Susan Higgins RN Program Manager Mobile Outreach. And the Doctor.

Today's exercise class was awesome we had over 35 ladies in the class. We also celebrated Miss Rita Gamble 86th birthday her children bless the class with a delicious lunch. And Cathleen Graham blessed us with some sweets. God is blessing this program

💙 RESOURCE ALERT FOR PARENTS/CAREGIVERS OF CHILDREN WITH AUTISM 💙

Browns Ferry Community Outreach wants to share an important opportunity for families caring for a child with autism.

The MyGOAL Autism Grant Program is now accepting applications for a $1,000 grant to help support families of individuals under 18 years old with autism across the United States.

⚠️ Important Note: Only 25 recipients are selected nationwide, so we strongly encourage eligible families to apply early.

📅 Application Window:
🗓 February 1st – April 30th
📣 Grant decisions are typically announced in mid-July.

This grant may be used to support autism-related needs such as therapy, educational supports, safety items, and other approved expenses.

✨ Personal note: A local family successfully received this grant last year, so we know firsthand that it’s a valuable opportunity.
