Last night, many came together for our annual Service of Death and Resurrection, a beautiful and heartfelt ceremony honoring the lives of members of The Wesleyan community.

It was a truly lovely service, filled with meaningful music, thoughtful reflections, and messages of hope shared by residents, staff, leadership, and friends of our community. We are deeply grateful to all who participated — from our speakers and musicians to those who helped plan, prepare, and support this special gathering.

This is a tradition we hold every year at The Wesleyan, and while it is never easy, we know how important it is to pause, remember, and honor the lives of those who have been part of our Wesleyan family. A life remembered is a life cherished, and we are proud to offer this service as a way to reflect, give thanks, and celebrate each person’s lasting impact.

The Wesleyan Bazaar: A Huge Success!

We had such a wonderful time at our Wesleyan Bazaar — filled with laughter, creativity, and community spirit! Months of preparation and organization — all led by our amazing residents — came together in one massive project and true labor of love. 💛

From handcrafted quilts, jewelry, paintings, woodworking, and delicious homemade treats, every item was lovingly created and donated by our residents to support the Wesleyan Benevolent Fund. ❤️

We’re thrilled to share that our residents raised over $8,300 — every dollar of which will go directly to the Benevolent Fund to help care for and support fellow residents in meaningful ways. This is truly residents helping residents — and that’s what the Wesleyan spirit is all about!

This Veterans Day, The Wesleyan communities came together to honor and remember the brave men and women who have served our country. 🇺🇸
From assisted living to independent living, we gathered to recognize our residents and teammates who are veterans — and to remember all the lives lost in service to our nation.
We are deeply grateful for their courage, sacrifice, and example. Each day, we strive to live in a way that is worthy of their service and the freedoms they have protected.
The Wesleyan is proud to call so many veterans part of our family. 💙

This Monday, residents from The Wesleyan Community took to the skies with Dream Flights experiencing the adventure of a lifetime in a historic Boeing Stearman biplane!
Dream Flights is dedicated to honoring our nation’s veterans and seniors by giving them a chance to soar once again — and to share their incredible stories of courage, resilience, and service. These unforgettable moments remind us of our shared humanity and the power of listening to those who came before us. ❤️
We are so proud of our residents and forever grateful to our veterans.

Our Wesleyan residents & team had a blast supporting the Zion Lutheran Church and School during their 53rd annual Wurstbraten fundraiser in Walburg, Texas! Our transportation team picked up and delivered this delicious meal for our residents to enjoy.
A huge thank-you to everyone who works so hard each year to make this event possible — the food was absolutely amazing! We’re also proud to share that our Wesleyan community helped raise close to $900 in support of Zion Lutheran Church & School and other local nonprofits.
It’s such a joy to be part of a caring community that supports great local traditions like this one.

We kicked off our Fall/Winter Afternoon Tea season in the most delightful way! Chef Yvrose prepared a beautiful spread of treats and a variety of flavorful teas that warmed everyone up on this chilly day. 🍂💛
Our residents sipped, savored, and shared laughter — it was truly a beautiful event from start to finish. We can’t wait for the next one!

Our residents and team had a spook-tacular time celebrating Halloween across our Assisted Living and Independent Living communities! From creative costumes and festive décor to delicious treats and lively games, the joy and laughter were contagious.

Showtime at The Wesleyan!

Our talented residents lit up the stage with their Readers Theater rendition of the beloved musical “Guys and Dolls” — and wow, what a show! Two incredible performances in one day, both to packed houses!
From the laughter to the applause, every moment was filled with joy, creativity, and community spirit. There’s never a dull day at The Wesleyan if you’re not here, you’re definitely missing out!

Happy 77th Anniversary, Bettye & Ed McCrary!
We are celebrating an incredible milestone — 77 years of love, laughter, and lifelong partnership shared by our wonderful residents, Bettye and Ed McCrary.
To know them is truly to love them, and we couldn’t be prouder to have this amazing couple as part of The Wesleyan family. Their warmth, kindness, and devotion continue to inspire everyone around them.
