Bean Bag Baseball was a packed house today!

The Warriors took on the Whipper Snappers in a showdown that came down to the very last point and the Warriors pulled off the win by ONE! Safe to say the competition was fierce and the bragging rights are officially secured.

Today at 3:00 p.m., residents and team members gathered at the flag poles to participate in the National Moment of Remembrance. 🇺🇸

Together, we shared a prayer, observed a moment of silence, and honored our fallen heroes with the playing of Taps. It was a meaningful time of reflection, gratitude, and remembrance as we paid tribute to the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

At The Wesleyan, we are proud to pause, remember, and honor those who gave so much for our freedom this Memorial Day. ❤️🤍💙

Our Memory Care residents recently celebrated National “I Love Reese’s Day” in the sweetest way possible by creating their own Reese’s parfaits!

With pudding, whipped topping, chocolate chips, and plenty of Reese’s cups, residents had so much fun building their delicious treats and enjoying time together.

Activities like these bring smiles, spark conversation, and create joyful moments shared with friends and staff alike. Sometimes the sweetest memories are made one parfait at a time!

May is National Strawberry Month, and we celebrated the sweetest way we know how with a pop-up Farmers Market featuring strawberries as the star ingredient! 🍓☀️

Residents enjoyed fresh treats, fun conversations, and time together as we welcomed the season and celebrated the simple joys that help make a community feel like home.

It’s often the little things sharing a laugh, enjoying seasonal favorites, and gathering with neighbors that create the strongest sense of community. And with summer just around the corner, there’s even more fun ahead at The Wesleyan! ❤️

We were honored to celebrate the incredible veterans in our community during our Veterans Ice Cream Social sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 228. 🇺🇸🍦

Residents were recognized for their branch of service and years served, and we loved hearing the stories, memories, and friendships shared throughout the afternoon.

A special recognition goes to Steve and Gina, whose combined military service totals an incredible 45 years with Gina proudly edging out Steve by one year! We also recognized Tom as our second longest-serving veteran with 21 years of service.

We are proud to be home to so many patriots and are grateful for the sacrifices they made in service to our country. Celebrating their dedication and honoring their stories is something we deeply value at The Wesleyan. ❤️🤍💙

This week, members of The Wesleyan team had the opportunity to attend the LeadingAge Texas Annual Conference learning, collaborating, and bringing back new ideas to better serve our residents and community.

One of the highlights of the conference was celebrating our President & CEO, Bethany Sisneroz, on her appointment to the LeadingAge Texas Board as an At-Large Board Member for the Class of 2028.

Throughout the conference, conversations centered around leadership, innovation, courage, and the future of aging services. One message from the closing keynote especially stood out:
“You need courageous leaders beside you.”

We are proud to be part of an organization committed to growing together, supporting one another, and continuing to make a positive impact in the lives of older adults.

At Assisted Living, one of our recent favorite activities was “Sharing Treasures” a special show-and-tell style gathering where residents shared meaningful keepsakes, collections, and the stories behind them.

One of the most beautiful parts of community is getting to see the treasures our residents have gathered over a lifetime not just the items themselves, but the memories, love, history, and experiences connected to them.

From cherished family heirlooms to souvenirs from adventures around the world, each treasure told a story and sparked connection, conversation, and laughter among friends.

Activities like these give us the opportunity to learn more about one another, celebrate each resident’s unique journey, and strengthen the sense of community that makes Assisted Living so special. ✨

At Wesleyan, community means more than just living together it means building together.

Our President & CEO, Bethany Sisneroz, regularly hosts community updates to share progress on projects, future plans, and exciting improvements happening across campus. These conversations are especially meaningful because our residents bring a lifetime of leadership, experience, and wisdom to the table.

From retired builders and business leaders to educators and impact makers, we are proud to have a community full of people who continue to shape the place they call home. This is their community, and we believe their voices matter. Together, we continue creating a place where everyone has the opportunity to contribute, connect, and belong.

Yesterday a small group from our Assisted Living community headed out into the community for lunch at Mulligan’s in Sun City, followed by a fun visit to see the train and learn a little about its history. There was lots of laughter, great conversation, and plenty of time enjoying the beautiful day together!

At The Wesleyan, we love creating opportunities for residents to stay active, connected, and involved in the community around them. These outings are always a favorite and remind us how much joy can come from simply getting out and exploring together. ❤️

This week we celebrated our incredible Transportation Team during Transportation Week! 🚐💙

We are proud to have the largest transportation team, the most vehicles, and the highest number of resident trips of any senior living community in Georgetown. Any given day of the week, you’ll see these amazing drivers taking residents to shopping trips, restaurants, medical appointments, outings, and even church on Sundays.

The work they do makes a tremendous difference in the lives of our residents every single day by helping them stay connected, independent, active, and engaged in the community they love.

We celebrated this fantastic team with a special appreciation lunch, and one of our drivers, Anthony, shared how working at The Wesleyan truly changed his life. Moments like that remind us that the impact goes both ways our team changes lives, and our residents change theirs too.

Thank you to this compassionate, dependable, and hardworking group for all you do to keep our community moving!
