🚐☀️ Wesleyan on the move!

Today, our residents took a scenic ride with Wesleyan Transportation to enjoy a lakeside lunch at The Dead Fish Grill in Belton — and let’s just say, the food and the views did not disappoint!

There’s nothing like good company, great weather, and a relaxing meal by the water to brighten the day. Big thanks to Dead Fish Grill for the warm hospitality — our residents had a blast!

The Dog Days of Summer are upon us!

We had a paws-itively wonderful time beating the heat indoors during our Dog Days of Summer events for our residents campus wide.

Our friends from Living Grace Canine Ranch brought some lovable senior pups to visit, and they truly lit up the room with tail wags and cuddles. Residents enjoyed plenty of puppy love while munching on classic hot dogs—and enjoying our always popular Farmers Market.

The laughter, companionship, and joy were contagious—fun was definitely had by all, both furry and human alike! 🐾❤️

A perfect afternoon filled with laughter, great company, and delicious Italian cuisine! 🇮🇹🍝 Our residents at The Wesleyan had a wonderful time dining at Juliet Italian Kitchen - Arboretum where every dish is crafted from scratch with fresh ingredients and timeless recipes inspired by New York City's Little Italy.

One of the many joys of life at The Wesleyan. You can sit back, relax, and leave the driving to us.

Moments like these remind us why community, comfort, and connection matter most.

Happy 4th of July!

What an amazing morning we had celebrating with the Georgetown Beard Club’s Annual Drive-By Parade! We kicked off with delicious patriotic doughnuts as we waited in anticipation for the parade to start. The rain couldn’t dampen our spirits, and together we sang the National Anthem, our voices joining as one in a beautiful show of unity.

A huge thank you to the Georgetown Beard Club for spreading such incredible cheer to our residents your presence truly made our morning shine! And a special nod to Dude the dog a proud member of the Georgetown Beard Club, a Marine canine, who served multiple deployments in Afghanistan and now enjoys retirement with his family. His presence added an extra layer of patriotism and heart to the festivities. 🐾

for making this 4th of July unforgettable! As always, at The Wesleyan, where community, pride, and love for our country come together. 💙❤️

Recently residents were treated to a heartwarming performance by the talented kids from the First UMC Music Camp! After a week of hard work and practice, these young musicians brought joy, energy, and music to our community — and the smiles say it all.

There's something truly special about intergenerational moments like this. Our residents enjoyed the youthful spirit and talent, while the kids experienced the joy of sharing their music with a grateful audience. It's a win-win that reminds us of the power of connection across generations.

Thank you, First UMC Georgetown, for a beautiful performance and a memorable afternoon!

⚾ Game on in the Hewlett Community Room!

Residents from Independent Living and Assisted Living came together for a lively game of Beanbag Baseball — full of friendly competition, laughter, and even a few home runs!

And the best part? We got to enjoy America’s favorite pastime without breaking a sweat in the summer heat — all from the comfort of our air-conditioned community room!

One of the many things that makes our community special is the continuum of care we offer. Many of our residents start out in Independent Living and transition to Assisted Living when they need a little extra support — all while staying connected to friends, staff, and the vibrant life at The Wesleyan.

Events like this bring everyone together, no matter where they are on their journey. Because fun, friendship, and community don’t stop — they just grow stronger!

⚾💬 “Batter up!” takes on a whole new meaning when you're surrounded by friends and joy like this.

Celebrating Joe’s Retirement – 47 Years of Dedication 🛠️
After 47 years of unwavering service, Joe is retiring from The Wesleyan — and what a legacy he leaves behind. As the Maintenance Supervisor for our Skilled Nursing community, Joe has been the quiet force behind the scenes, keeping everything running smoothly and ensuring our residents and team members felt safe, cared for, and supported.
Though he’s a man of few words, Joe’s actions have spoken volumes. His commitment, reliability, and deep care for this community have made an impact that can’t be measured. From emergency fixes to everyday support, Joe has been there — rain or shine, always ready to help.
We gathered for a small farewell to say a big thank you to a man whose work has truly shaped our home. He will be sorely missed, but his legacy of service will live on in every hallway and heart he touched.
Please join us in celebrating Joe and a lifetime spent serving others. Wishing him the very best in his well-earned retirement! 💙

Sweet sips & classic diner vibes!

Our residents had a fantastic time exploring the Dr Pepper Museum in Waco — soaking up the fizzy history and learning all about America’s oldest major soft drink! 🥤 Did you know Dr Pepper was created in 1885, making it one year older than Coca-Cola? 🤯

After the tour, we took a delicious trip down memory lane with lunch at Kim’s Diner — the perfect spot to keep the nostalgia going. Burgers, shakes, laughter, and lots of smiles all around! 😄🍔

Our Story

The Wesleyan’s ministry began as a community vision to care for the aging in 1962. The Wesleyan began as a community collaboration of The Methodist Church, The Williamson County Sun, the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and the citizens of Georgetown to be the first in the city to provide for the aging. That vision came to fruition on September 10, 1962 when the first resident moved into what was then The Wesleyan Retirement Home.Since then, The Wesleyan has grown with Georgetown and the region, leading the way in aging and health services, providing a full continuum of care, promoting a vibrant philosophy of well-being, and championing a new bountiful experience of aging full of purpose, passion, and possibility.True to it’s roots, The Wesleyan still pursues a vision nourished by deep relationships — relationships among those it serves and its teammates, and relationships with the people of Georgetown and Central Texas.
