You don’t need fancy tools or special sessions to support your child’s communication development—you just need YOU. Parent-mediated strategies put the power in your hands to turn daily routines into rich language-learning opportunities.
Here are some simple ways to make every moment count:
🗣️ Narrate Your World – Talk through what you’re doing during play, meals, and routines. “We’re stacking the blocks UP! Now they fall DOWN!”
👂 Follow Their Lead – Watch what captures their attention and join in. When they show interest, they’re ready to learn.
⏸️ Pause with Purpose – Give them time to process and respond. Count to 5 in your head before jumping in.
🔄 Repeat & Expand – When they say “dog,” you say “Yes! Big brown dog running!”
🎯 Make It Playful – Learning happens best through joy, connection, and laughter.
You ARE the center of their world. Your voice, your presence, your engagement—these are the tools that matter most. Let’s make it count, together.
