Our three D2 (soon to be D3s this fall) have finished up their mission trip to El Salvador! Thank you for your prayers and financial support! The Lord provided all they needed through generous donors and a scholarship.

Geovany and Jessica are back home in the States while Jose is spending extended time with his family in El Salvador. Jose is from the same area where this team got to serve! How awesome is that?!

Please pray for their rest and reflection. The team was able to serve hundreds of patients while working alongside a great church and local volunteers. These students were blown away by the opportunity. We are incredibly thankful to get to send students to other countries to care for the physical and spiritual needs of others through healthcare!

We are excited to have these 2nd year dental students seeking to participate in a healthcare mission trip to El Salvador this summer through CMDA's Global Health Outreach! Last year, we sent three 3rd year dental students, and this year, we are sending three more to the same location! The trip is June 14th-22nd to Santa Ana, El Salvador and hosted by Oasis de Gracia church.

Each of these students are fundraising to cover the cost of their trip. We would love for our CMDA Memphis network of healthcare professionals to help them meet their goals. If you are interested in supporting these students financially, you can visit their donation pages listed below.

Join us on Thursday, April 3rd for our Equipping Event! Dr. Bill Geiger, resident of Knoxville and CMDA TN State Representative, will be coming to Memphis to share about his experience with discipleship amongst doctors. We are eager to discuss the unique opportunity that doctors have to live out the Great Commission of making disciples in the context of their relationships with other doctors, healthcare workers, fellows, residents, and students. All healthcare professionals at any level of training are welcome to attend. We hope you can join us!

We are at a projected 78% of our targeted goal of $150,000 for this fiscal year. We need $32,000 by July 1st to reach 100% of our goal. The breadth and extent of our ministry work is dependent on these remaining funds. We are inching towards meeting our goal and we need your help!

Bob Mason, MDiv has been training healthcare professionals and students in whole person care for over 25 years. He does this as the Executive Director of Medical Strategic Network, as adjunct faculty at Southern California medical school and as the Director of Spiritual Care Training at a family medicine residency. Bob has lectured on this topic at UCLA, Ohio State, Howard, LSU, Georgetown, USC, Harvard, Morehouse, Washington University, and many others. He founded the Whole Person Care Preceptorship which has attracted students from across the US and 10 countries. He is married to Dianna, has 2 adult children, and 3 grandchildren. He enjoys fitness and lives in Southern California.

THANK YOU to those of you who attended our 2024 CMDA Memphis Fall Banquet! We were very encouraged by having 175 people register this year!

It was a great evening of Memphis area healthcare professionals connecting with one another - seeing familiar faces as well as new ones. We had a wonderful time of singing as Andrew and Amy Dale, members of Eastside Community Church, led us beautifully in several songs of worship. Dr. Jeff Harris, Chairman of the CMDA Memphis Advisory Council, reminded us of our CMDA vision and mission as he led us through our robust program. Chris Sturdivant, our CMDA Memphis Area Director, shared an update of the ministry and facilitated a testimony panel of student leaders and professionals who shared how God has used CMDA in their lives to help them grow spiritually and live out God's mission either in school or in their professional setting. We took a moment to honor Dr. Deanna Nabors for serving as a member of our Advisory Council for the last 7 years, the latter 3 years as Chairman. We were blessed to hear from our keynote speaker, Dr. Zack Taylor, who edified and challenged us with practical ways we can experience God as we serve patients, coworkers, and our families. Dr. Chris Rowland capped off the night with exhorting us to live generous lives - surrendering all we have and all we are to Christ and His purposes. Throughout all of this, we enjoyed a delicious bbq meal from our caterer, Que's Sweet Heat.

If you were able to attend, we hope you left encouraged by the community of Christian healthcare professionals in the room, inspired by our updates and panel testimonies, and further equipped by the messages of our speakers.

At the end of this month, we plan to have an accurate total of how much funding was generated from our Banquet. We look forward to updating you soon. To those who donated, thank you for helping move us forward towards reaching our annual goal of $150,000.

As we near the end of the year, we would appreciate your consideration for any end-of-year donations. As with many other great organizations, this is a crucial time of the year for our fundraising as it gives us a boost towards our goal and enables us to further our ministry efforts in the upcoming year, knowing that the funding is there to accomplish our budgeted opportunities.
