Omi's Sacred Garden

Omi's Sacred Garden Holistic Wellness ● Doula Care ● Energy Healing ● Women’s Sacred Support Meet Iya Omitola Y.

Fowler (Mama Omi)
I have devoted my life to the healing and empowerment of women and children since 2000. My path began as a family daycare provider, nurturing young lives and witnessing firsthand the sacred bond between mother and child. That experience awakened my passion for maternal and child well-being and guided me into the work of a doula and midwife, where I offered guidance, emotional support, and physical care throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Seeking to understand the deeper spiritual dimensions of creation and healing, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Metaphysics from Sedona University in 2016 and became an ordained minister soon after. My initiations into the priesthood of Yemoja (2018) and Ifa (2023) deepened my connection to ancestral wisdom, the divine feminine, and the sacred waters of life that flow through every woman. Today, as the Founder of Ubuntu Wellness Academy and Omi’s Sacred Garden, I bring together two decades of maternal care, metaphysical study, and spiritual leadership to support women in all stages of transition. As a Reiki Master Teacher and Herbalist, I blend energy work, plant medicine, and intuitive guidance to restore harmony in body, mind, and spirit. My offerings include yoni steaming, womb wellness, energy healing, herbal consultations, oracle readings, and spiritual mentorship, all rooted in the belief that every woman’s body is a living altar. I have trained and mentored countless women in the art of doula work, helping a new generation reclaim birth as a sacred ceremony. Through Daughters of the Moon, I continue to create spaces where Black women reconnect to their heritage, honor their ancestral magic, and rise in their full power. My own health journey has become my greatest teacher, reminding me daily that healing begins within. I live by the adage, “Healer, heal thyself,” holding integrity and embodiment as my guiding principles. My work—and my life—are offerings of devotion: to Spirit, to womanhood, and to the divine rhythm that unites them both.

The road hasn’t been easy.
I’ve been vegan. I’ve tried keto. I’ve done cleanses.
I also spent years not moving consistently and living a sedentary life.

At 53, in perimenopause, I’ve learned how to listen to my body.
I’ve learned that movement matters — and that consistency looks different now.

I went from not showing up to valuing my workouts and seeing the benefits.
My pain is decreasing.
I’m feeding and moving my body in ways that help regulate my perimenopause symptoms.

My A1c is lower, and I’m actively working on my cholesterol.
None of this came from forcing myself.
It came from finding my rhythm.

I move in ways that fit my real life — with room to evolve.
I’m choosing a better version of myself because I deserve it.

I’m 53, perimenopausal, and prediabetic.
I’m on a journey of rediscovery and self-healing.

I haven’t always taken my health seriously — but I’m not chasing a number.
I’m building strength and longevity.

One thing I don’t do is starve myself.
I’m learning how to eat in ways that actually support my body.

Rest in Peace
Dr. Janell Green Smith 🕊️
DNP, CNM, APRN

Dr. Janell Green Smith was a Black Midwife who dedicated her life to improving Black Maternal Health Outcomes. Dr. Janell spoke out about what brought her to midwifery, how maternal mortality rates in this country were mostly preventable, & how Black women should not have to fear death in birth.

The news that Dr. Janell Green Smith has tragically died during childbirth is absolutely heartbreaking ❤️‍🩹

We grieves her death as a systemic failure and injustice. Our hearts go out to her family, friends, & the midwifery community.

Say her name loud. Dr. Janell Green Smith should be here. Black women deserve to give birth without fear, with dignity & safety, she deserves to be here today.

Practicum Invitation: Wise Waters (Midlife Coaching)

I’m completing my perimenopause + nutritional coaching certifications and am opening a very limited practicum opportunity for two women navigating perimenopause or early menopause.

This is a 6-week, no-cost coaching experience focused on:

• understanding hunger, cravings, and energy
• emotional eating patterns
• nervous system regulation
• gentle movement
• spiritual grounding (non-religious, inclusive)
• identity shifts in midlife
• building sustainable routines without restriction

This is a structured container, not casual advice.
There is no monetary exchange, but there is a commitment to show up, reflect honestly, and engage with the process.

This practicum is ideal for women who feel like they’re at a crossroads and want support that honors both science and lived experience.

If this resonates, send me a message or comment WISE, and we’ll discuss alignment.
